Today I read 2 Chronicles 28: Ahaz was not a good king. He worshipped and advocated for the worship of foreign gods, because he thought they helped his enemies defeat him. (archived audio)

I read 2 Chronicles 27 today: King Jotham did well, and he did not enter the temple as his father had done, so there was no notable failure at the end of his reign described in this short chapter. 🙂 (archived audio)

Today I read 2 Chronicles 26: King Uzziah did pretty well until he got too powerful, then he stopped listening to God and that was his downfall. He started to burn incense even though he was not a priest, and became angry when confronted about it. So God inflicted him with leprosy. (archived audio)

I read 2 Chronicles 25: Amaziah did not follow God wholeheartedly, and eventually worshipped the gods of his enemies, causing God to allow his eventual downfall. (archived audio)

Today I read 2 Chronicles 22: Ahaziah became king, and he did evil in God’s eyes. Jehu put him to death, and Ahaziah’s mom, Athaliah began to kill Ahaziah’s children, but Joah was rescued by Jehosheba for 6 years while Athalia reigned. (archived audio)
