The Vine Church Podcast

Jesus shares us a pivotal story of what and how the kingdom of heaven is like and he shares them to us through stories or parables so that we understand and relate too. But more than that it shows us that God is in the details and is invested in our daily lives.

Notice the flow in this passage. Direct words about sin, brokenness, wrath and disobedience. Descriptions of darkness and light. A recognition that the world is evil, and a dramatic call for God’s people to wake up.

We can experience significant transformation and growth in Christ, let go of sinful habits, and increasingly reflect the character of Christ. He has given us everything for that to happen. But we have a choice to make. How can we say yes to the Holy Spirit’s transforming work in our lives?
