The Video Games Show (or VGS for short) is a weekly gaming industry news podcast hosted by Rich Bergin, Nick Kraftor and Greg the Engineer. News isn't the only thing we do though, we bring you reviews of the latest games, interviews with industry hot-shots and take special care to interact with our audience via email and our website. Rich and Kraft have over 50 years of gaming experience between them and VGS itself is over 8...

This week we are live from the St. Louis Game Jam!  Come join us as we talk all about what the St Louis (and Global) Game Jams are all about.  As everyone was incredibly busy churning out their creations we didn't have a chance to talk to many participants.  We did, however, get to speak to a veritable legend of the gaming industry, John Ratcliff, about his upcoming game Duatiu.  Come check out th...

VGS Show 327 (6.27.11) 30.06.2011

We can finally take a final headcount on the barrage of hacker attacks that have plagued all sorts of game companies.  For as much as hacking in the gaming industry has sucked, at least one of the hackers got a job... at facebook.  Come join us for all this and more on this week's Video Games Show!

VGS Show 326 (6.21.11) 21.06.2011

This week brings more news on the Wii U, hackers galore, and Bobby Kotick:  Hollywood Star.  We also take some time to discuss our take on the new Duke Nukem Forever, as well as the new Red Faction game.  Come join us for a super-moist episode of the world-famous Video Games Show!

VGS Show 325 (6.13.11) 14.06.2011

As E3 wraps up we watch and talk about Nintendo's proverbial bombshell, the Wii U.  Of course we don't dedicate the whole show to this; we also have plenty of other news, reviews, and more!  Time to sit down for a Post-E3 wrap-up courtesy of the world-famous Video Games Show!

VGS Show 324 (6.6.11) 07.06.2011

And so the E3 extravaganza begins!  After an entire day of watching press conferences we are here to filter through the hype and fanfare to tell you about what you need to know.  We cover the Microsoft, Sony, Konami, and Ubisoft conferences.  Next Monday we will cover the last few conferences (including Nintendo) as well as any news from the floor that comes up.  It's a mad news day here at the wo...

VGS Show 323 (5.23.11) 24.05.2011

With E3 right around the corner, Rich and Kraft cover the impending hype and rumors.  This week we hear from Sony about why people are unreasonable in thinking they are in the wrong, we talk about why Sonic might not be coming to the Wii, and we explore the DOUBT option in LA Noire.  Join us for all of this and more on this week's all new Video Games Show!

VGS Show 322 (5.16.11) 18.05.2011

This week we jump in to our new earlier timeslot.  While that doesn't affect our podcast listeners, it does make a difference for people tuning in live.  Remember that you can listen to us from 3-5PM CST on umslradio.com  This week we talk about the PSN network coming back online, rumors of Modern Warfare 3 and more.

Android Bonus Preview 11.05.2011

Alright, I feel bad for our 321 joke episode.  Apparently some people didn't find it nearly as funny as we did.  As a consilatory gesture we've decided to give everyone a taste of what the Android App owners get as bonus content.  Not a ton of video game related material, but we hope you enjoy it none the less.

VGS Show 321 (5.9.11) 10.05.2011

As it is finals week we were not planning on doing a show.  Of course we couldn't leave every totally hanging, so here is an abridge episode of VGS delivering all of the big news!  Just an FYI, it is a good week to own our android app :)

VGS Show 320 (5.2.11) 04.05.2011

With all of the crazy news going on lately (royal weddings, dead terrorists, tornadoes and more) it was easy to miss news about the catastrophic soap opera that was the Playstation Network Saga.  Rich and Kraft take you through a 2 week timeline giving a blow-by-blow of what actually happened.  After an hour-long breakdown of events (trust me, it isn't boring) we get to non-Sony news.  Also, as an...

VGS Show 319 (4.25.11) 26.04.2011

In a surprise move we decided to take our show on the road!  We found out that there was a video game developer meetup here in our home town of St. Louis so Rich and Kraft crashed the party and ate all the mozzerella sticks.  That's how we roll.  Kidding aside, we talk to some established and up-and-coming game developers from our home town!  Joining us on the air this week is Graphite Lab, Six3Si...

VGS Show 318 (4.18.11) 19.04.2011

On this edition of VGS, hosts Rich and Kraft respond to some interesting complaints regarding the previous Messiah of Pants incident. Also, Nick bitches about the Portal 2 hype, Nintendo Junkie reviews the 3DS, and a long lost special guest calls in. All this plus Rich is on the verge of dying (thankfully.  Greg might move up the ladder now!)... and more on this weeks VGS!

VGS Show 317 (4.11.11) 12.04.2011

We finally find out who is our show's number 1 fan!  Plenty of news this week we talk about Gamestop's latest push into the digital market, trash talking from Sony concerning Nintendo, and more!  We also talk a little about the continuation of Telltale's Back to the Future episodic adventure.  By the way, for android app owners, there is a pdf available with pictures from the studio.  We apologize...

VGS Show 316 (4.4.11) 05.04.2011

We are back with tons of news, 3 reviews and on top of that: our first hands-on with the 3DS!  Also, the long wait is over!  VGS now has an android app available on the market!  The app offers easy access to all of our shows, built-in options to interact with us live on the air, and plenty of app-exclusive content.  This week app-owners will get a video tour of the VGS studios.  Don't have an andr...

VGS Show 315 (3.21.11) 24.03.2011

With a very slow news week we try a fun project:  VGS on the Spot!  We take any question from our listeners by email or by live call-ins.  If you have any other questions for Rich, Kraft and Greg feel free to email us at vgsmailbox@gmail.com

VGS Show 314 (3.14.11) 16.03.2011

Show 314 on 3-14?  That's a sign of awesomeness!  We take time this week to catch up on our listener emails, a few missed news bytes from last week and all new news from this week!  Also, we drop some info on our soon-to-be-live iphone and android apps!  (side note:  if you have our app, this is the first week we have included bonus material.)

VGS Show 313 (3.7.11) 10.03.2011

Our apologies for the lack of a show last week:  the studio burned down.  Well, not really, but after a string of problems our will to record was torched.  We're back this week with plenty of news from GDC, a surprise guest, and Rich tells you why you suck for not already owning Bulletstorm!

VGS Show 312 (2.21.11) 24.02.2011

Did anything special happen this show?  To be honest with 3 tests this week I can't really remember.  We didn't burn down the studio which means the show was nowhere near as good as it could have been, but I bet it was still a good one.  You be the judge; check out this week's Video Games Show!

VGS Show 311 (2.14.11) 15.02.2011

VGS for two weeks in a row?  What a wild idea!  We're experimenting with a slightly different news format.  Instead of rapid firing through a bunch of news we don't necessarily care much about we've focused on the things we find intriguing.  Also we'd like to welcome Engineer Greg to his first episode on The Video Games Show;  hopefully he'll stick around for a couple more.

VGS Show 310 (2.7.11) 08.02.2011

Hoooo buddy!  It seems we are in full swing with the next generation of handheld consoles!  We drop tons of new details about Sony's upcoming successor to the PSP, codenamed the NGP.  We also talk about the Playstation-driven Xperia, more info on the 3DS, and plenty of other news to boot!  Come join us as we come back from our snow-break with a vengence on this all new Video Games Show!

VGS Show 309 (OMFG SNOW) 04.02.2011

Much like the rest of the country we were slapped upside the head with snow.  We swear our schedule is about to be getting back on track.  That being said, here is a delayed episode of The Video Games Show.  That being said we will be back AT OUR NORMAL TIME on Monday!  (Mother Nature permitting of course.  Who knows, we might be in for another snowpocalyse.)

VGS Show 305 (The Lost Episode) 20.01.2011

Well we finally made it back on campus and were able to pull the lost episode.  While the news might not be current the discussion is still relevant.  There may be some humor involved too.  Honestly I can't remember.  My apologies if the show is lame.

VGS Show 308 (1.17.11) 18.01.2011

Well, it is our final show in the home studio!  Next week we are back at UM- St Louis at our normal time:  Monday from 9-11pm.  This week we deliver our own State of the (Video Game) Union address, hit all the news from the week, and get around to reading our listener emails.  Hope you join us for another brand new episode of the Video Games Show!

VGS 307 (1.3.11) 13.01.2011

Not sure why, but this episode got lost in the mix.  Obviously winter is not agreeing with VGS.  Anyways, here is episode 307.  If anyone happens to notice a new episode hasn't dropped in a while and are curious, please feel free to email us at vgsmailbox@gmail.com!

VGS Show 306 (12.27.10) 28.12.2010

I know, I know... Where is 305?  Truth be told I forgot to pull it from the studio server before we left for the evening and now the campus has been shut down and inaccessible for the last week.  It's out of order but I am going to attempt to retrieve it this week sometime.  That being said it pales in comparison to this week's episode.  We go through some news, have some serious insightful discus...
