The Upward Call!
Welcome to The Upward Call Podcast! For far too long, the Christian Church has settled for the most fundamental Gospel of salvation and eternal life. It has failed to recognize the Gospel’s call for maturity as sons and daughters of God and for spiritual preparation for the Kingdom to come. This podcast lays the foundation for understanding the ultimate purposes of God in salvation. It will then endeavor to build upon that foundation toward the upward call of God to spiritual maturity. If this is your heart’s desire, too, then listen on, More here: https://ufsministries.com/podcast

S3.E4. The Soul of Man (1) - Being Transformed (37:36) 02.02.2025 37:36
In brief summary of Jesus’ instructions to His disciples in Mt. 16.24-27, He makes a connection between the “soul of man” and: that of a cross, of losing or saving his soul life, of the soul’s relationship to the second coming of Christ, and finally of rewards according to one’s works. All of this is unique to the salvation of the soul, which is just a one-third part of man; the salvation of the w...
S3.E3. The Spirit of Man (41:33) 27.01.2025 41:33
Jesus said, “ It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit , and they are life,” Jn, 6.63, following a lengthily discourse with His disciples where He made the comparison between the bread Moses gave to their forefathers to eat, which was the manna miraculously supplied as food for the Israelites in the wilderness, with Jesus’ own claim t...
S3.E2. What is Man – A tripartite Being 20.01.2025 36:45
If man was created in the image and likeness of God as was discussed in the previous episode, then our attention must now be focused on those elements of likeness which include man’s spirit, soul and body. With these components of man, he is complete; and like Christ, is able to function in relationship in both this physical world and in the spiritual realm of God. Our opening scripture (1 Thes....
S3.E1. What is Man – Image and Likeness 13.01.2025 38:41
Just what did the Psalmist David mean when he wrote, “ What is man that You are mindful of him, And the son of man that You visit him? Ps. 8.4; Or the prophet Moses who wrote, “ Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image , according to Our likeness ; Gn. 1.26 Men have grappled to understand and rightly interpret these scriptures with down through the centuries, with various opinions and translat...
S2.E12 Christianity: Religion or life (37:31) 06.01.2025 37:31
“Then one day, through a series of events (I believe orchestrated by God), this religious box exploded, blew to smithereens, never to be found again. Somehow, by God’s mercy and grace, I was bored up as on eagles wings and brought to Himself. (See Ex. 19.4) My faith became personal. Being found in Christ, I encountered God in an entirely new and living way. I found life , the life that can only...
S2.E11. The Bride of Christ (38:23) 30.12.2024 38:23
Revelation 19.6-9 is a glance into the future for the Church. There is no bride “of” Christ in the earth today. But, there is a bride to be “for” Christ in the earth, one being prepared, a virgin now known as the Church. Many things must take place before this great and glorious event called “ the marriage supper of the Lamb” because this event is an object of eternity; and nothing of the earth en...
S2.E10 The Apostasy (2) - The Spirit of the Antichrist (34:07) 23.12.2024 34:07
“ 3 Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, 4 who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God” This podcast attempts to answer the questions: “what is this falling away ,...
S2.E9 The Apostasy(1) : The Beginning of Sorrow (31:11) 16.12.2024 31:11
This article explores the spiritual warfare between good and evil, drawing parallels between historical events like D-Day and the ongoing battle between the Kingdom of God and the forces of Satan. It traces the establishment of the Church as the spiritual "D-Day," beginning with Christ's victory over sin and death and the birth of the Church at Pentecost. The piece examines signs of Satan's counte...
S2.E8. Ministries (35:21) 09.12.2024 35:21
In the previous episode the fact was made that all kingdoms have both authority and power. In the Kingdom of God all authority and power has been given to Christ who now sits at the right hand of the Father. And now Christ, is relegating this authority to govern the Church upon the earth to the elders of every local church; and He is bestowing this power through the Holy Spirit to accomplish Hi...
S2.E7. Authority and Power (32:21) 02.12.2024 32:21
We see at work in the Church are those two forceful capabilities associated with all kingdoms: authority and power . Whether it is the Kingdom of God, the kingdom of Satan, or the kingdoms of the world, all retain the same two forces to makes laws and enforce obedience in order to influence and control its citizens; and all too often attempts to conquer other kingdoms. On the earth nations war...
S2.E6. Elders and Ministries (27:58) 25.11.2024 27:58
Jesus proclaimed in Mt. 16.18, “ I will build My church,” but Jesus is now in Heaven and the Church is on the earth. However, the church is now spiritual in which Jesus Christ may now connect with the soul of man for fellowship, communication, and the ordaining men and women into specific services for the building up of His Church. The two primary areas are firstly the government of the Church...
S2.E5. Beware of the Leaven - The Purpose (27:02) 18.11.2024 27:02
The Church is not a continuation of the Old Covenant Law and Temple system but from a Christian perspective; rather it is the culmination of God’s meticulously planned workings beginning with Adam man from creation, to the promises to faithful Abraham and the patriarchs, to Moses and the Law concerning the nation of Israel, and now it is His highest work through Christ and the Church. This is the...
S2.E4. Beware of the Leaven - The Priesthood (31:28) 11.11.2024 31:28
Jesus Christ most often spoke of spiritual things in likeness to the natural so His disciples often misunderstood Him. When He cautioned them to, “Take heed and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the Sadducees,” at the mention of the word leaven their minds immediately thought of bread, which they did not bring with them. Jesus however, was speaking of something much more sinister; somethi...
S2.E3. Another Jesus, a Different Gospel 04.11.2024 35:10
The thought of mixture entering into the Church remains a constant concern. Anything foreign to the absolute truth of the Gospel and the testimony of the apostles is an impurity that must be discerned and purge out. This mixture can come from multiple sources, such as false doctrine, false prophets and teachers, worldly influence, culture, as well as a subtle mixing in of other religions and phi...
S2.E2. Mixture in the Church (33:42) 28.10.2024 33:42
The words of Paul to the Church of Corinth (2 Cor. 11.1-4) reveal both the grand objective for the Church, as well as a prophetic caution of corruption at its doorstep prone to enter in. Historically, God’s dealings with His creation have passed from the “age of Creation” focused on Adam and Eve, to the “age of the patriarchs” focused on Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, to the “age of Israel” focused on...
S2.E1. The Spiritual Church (34.53) 25.10.2024 34:53
When Jesus told Peter, “I will build my church,” did He have in mind a more perfect religion, one to rival existing religions in the world, or did He have in mind something of a higher spiritual nature? Distinction must clearly be made between religion and Christianity, as well as between the Old Covenant (Testament) in Moses and the New Covenant in Christ. The concept of life must be looked at fr...
S1.E6. The Eternal Purpose: The Holy Spirit (33:18) 15.10.2024 33:18
It is an undeniable Biblical fact that the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Christ, dwells in the believer individually and in the Church collectively. Yet it seems the reality of this true miracle escapes us. Not only must we come into this realization now, and allow it to impact our lives today, but to anticipate the Holy Spirit as an eternal habitation. For other episodes, find us at https://ufsminis...
S1.E5. The Eternal Purpose: The Son (35:36) 08.10.2024 35:36
Man often looks at salvation through a very narrow window, where all he can see is heaven and eternal life—which falls infinitesimally short of God’s plan and purpose in His Son Jesus Christ. In this age Jesus is the Head of His Church, the Body of Christ; and in the age to come this Church will become His bride to sit with Him on His throne. S1.E4. The Eternal Purpose: The Father (26:53) 06.09.2024 26:53
If one is given a bow and arrow and a target with a bull’s eye, a purpose is logically defined—aim, shoot, and hit the bull’s eye. To shoot arrows randomly is without purpose and certainly without reward. The Father has a divine purpose for Himself and mankind, and man may randomly seek one way or another, but to hit the mark is the ultimate in God’s plan and purpose. For other episodes, find us a...
S1.E1. The Case for the New Birth (31:29) 06.09.2024 31:29
It is essential to lay the first foundation stone with precision and accuracy, without which error is distributed throughout the whole building. Regarding the salvation of mankind we cannot rely on the judgments and estimates of man, but must seek the undeniable and verifiable truth revealed in the Word of God. S1.E3. Relationship and Fellowship (28:38) 06.09.2024 28:38
