When you need water, your body gets thirsty. Thirst is how you know you need water - it's what drives you to seek it out. God made our souls to experience the same thing in our need for Him. Jesus is the living water we are made to crave, and with his work on the cross, we can drink deeply of the Living Water.

John 15 shows us a beautiful picture of how Jesus tends to us as believers to help us bear good fruit. When we are broken, he lifts us up and puts us in a position to grow. If we are already bearing fruit, he prunes us further so we can bear even more fruit.
