The TodCast Podcast

Coming in at #7 (in 2007) on Eric's list, we discuss the classic folk duo Simon and Garfunkel.  Eric draws on his memories of the group while growing up while Todd is (unsurprisingly) ignorant. For more info, head on over to the Music Ranked! website .

Todd and Eric reminisce about the 80's-90's cultural phenomenon that is referred to as "the Satanic Panic", a time when just about anything that people opposed was linked to the devil as an excuse to condemn it.   The Hersey boys recall how certain shows were strictly forbidden for reasons that make so sense to them (then OR now):  The Simpsons, Married with Children, and Teenage Mutant...

The young ones are now officially out of school (as opposed to the not in school as a result of COVID).  The Hersey brothers discuss the lack of Spring Break in their youth...which is a thing their kids get to enjoy.  That morphs into a discussion of snow days and then on to:  what happens when a young person has the sniffles in a post-pandemic school year?

Lauren asks Todd about the origins of the TodCast, how he got started, and why he does it.  They proceed to discuss the social media and how it impacts communication in modern times.

Coming in at number six on Eric's original list in 2007, the Hersey brothers discuss the Moody Blues.  They sure do seem to like Days of Future Passed...  We pre-apologize for the audio quality on this one, but we suspect that the regular listeners are accustomed to this. :) For more info, head on over to the Music Ranked! website .

Todd goes the long way around to share his way of unwinding and disconnecting from his workday, since his office and his home are now one and the same.  What he describes (sort of) emulates his usual commute .  Not so much in terms of traveling, but rather in the benefit of "stepping away" mentally. Maybe it will help you...grab a few decks of cards and give it a whirl.
