The Tigers Down Under

Alex and Logan are back for a brand new episode of The Tigers Down Under, and what a return City has laid out for us! Back to back wins against Ipswich and Norwich have pulled us well clear of the relegation zone as we head to Birmingham to all but secure safety.

Alex and Logan discuss a wide range of topics, from the joy of knocking off Nottingham Forest and looking ahead to some great fixtures with Chelsea in the FA Cup and Boro in the league, to the sorrow of Ryan Mason having to announce his retirement from football. The pair share their thoughts on his announcement, and their thoughts on his time at City.

Alex and Logan had plenty to discuss as they wrapped up Hull City's transfer dealings for January. The pair discuss the signings of MacDonald and Wilson, as well as the retention of Jarrod Bowen, Kamil Grosicki and Michael Dawson. But how did the club fare over all? Should more have been done to arrest the slide down the table?

Alex is joined by Logan to recap a busy week which began with a great win over Nottingham Forest in the FA Cup, before a dour 0-0 draw at home to Leeds. The week was capped off with an interesting end to the transfer window, before the pair look ahead to this week's clash with Preston North End.

Alex and Dan break down what was a truly terrible performance against Sunderland, before Alex loses it completely and unleashes a rant against the state of affairs at the club. Where's the money for players? If there's none, why sack Slutsky? There is a game or two to preview as well, although it seemed a bit easier to sidetrack and laugh at Leeds' new crest..

Alex is joined by Logan to discuss the flat draw with Reading from the past weekend, as well as the transfer rumours that have emerged over the weekend. The pair then examine the unfortunate relationship that City and Sunderland are beginning, as they potentially drop through the divisions.

Alex and Dan catch up on all of the Hull City action over the holiday period, assessing which game frustrated them the most, or satisfied them the most. The pair also chat about the January transfer window, and the potential for players to leave the club despite the manager's wishes. The upcoming game against Reading is also previewed.

Alex is joined by special guest, Socceroos and Hull City midfielder Jackson Irvine to discuss his career in England, beginning in the youth set up at Celtic before moving to the Championship via Ross County to play for Burton Albion where he made his debut for the Socceroos, before moving to Hull City in the Summer.
