The Throstle Club

This special programme is devoted to just one player, Graham Williams, who joined Albion 70 years ago this month, in September 1954, and went onto to be the only player in Albion's history to captain winning sides in the finals of both the FA Cup and League Cup.

This special programme celebrates the day, 70 years ago, when West Bromwich Albion won the FA Cup on 1 May 1954. Our studio guest is Geoff Barnsley who is Albion's oldest living player (89 in December ) and with him are numerous fans who remember watching the game on TV.

In November 2023 the family of former WBA player Bill Brockhurst donated a set of photographs to the Albion Foundation. Bill played five first team games in the 1936-1937 season.
