Keep gently and respectfully sharing God’s message of love, hope, and forgiveness with everyone – through you, God may draw someone to Himself!

If your home is like mine – it looks better from the outside. Walls and doors keep prying eyes out. But God sees what the neighbors don’t.

Life hurts. But the more deeply we are willing to face our disappointments, the readier we will be to turn to Christ and draw from Him the strength we need to cope.

While it may go unnoticed, genuine selflessness is always meaningful to those closest to us.

Perhaps the ones in the best position to judge if revival has taken place at Asbury are the homeless and unsaved in and around Wilmore, Kentucky.  Just my simple thoughts on a complicated topic!

We become what we study.  Eyes fixed on a subject aren’t easily moved. Fixed eyes study. Fixed eyes probe. Fixed eyes learn a great deal about their subject.

What’s your reaction to those in distress? Do you move toward them to help? Or away from them in fear?

Webster defines self-control as, “restraint exercised over one's own impulses, emotions, or desires.” It’s simple to define, but much more difficult to achieve.

Behind every stiff neck is a proud, selfish heart. It’s our pride which insists on going our own way. God not only hates pride, He humbles those who possess it (Psalm 75:1). While He may allow us to go our own way, it usually doesn’t end well.

How are you using the talents God has given you? For your glory and purposes, or for His?

We're all susceptible to the praise of others.  But are we allowing their words to get us off track from seeking God's approval?

Moses called the Israelites together so they could meet God.  The Lord still wants His people to invite others to meet Him. Let’s do all we can to set up that first date. What happens thereafter, is up to them and God.

When those hard, dark moments come (and they will), we need to actively look for the evidence of God’s presence.

Doubt is not the opposite of faith – unbelief is.

God is with us as much during the dark and discouraging moments as He is during the occasions we celebrate.

Thankfully, the human authority which God has established for our protection doesn’t frequently ask us to violate God’s law. But if/when they do, who will you fear more – God or man?  Listen to the story of two women who chose to fear God more!

God’s conversation with Moses at the burning bush reminds us that the Lord has patience with our lack of confidence, but not with our lack of obedience.

God speaks to us more after we’ve demonstrated obedience to previous instructions.

Marriage is a unique and delicate balance of being lovers and friends.

If you’ve been discouraged by the lack of apparent “results,” remember – God calls us to be faithful, not successful!

We all must deal with fear, insecurity, and jealousy.  And the people we hang around will likely influence the way we do so.

Influencers can alter our character, our thoughts, and our behavior. Because that’s true, it’s important to be careful about who we allow into that role.

His answer surprised me because he placed me ahead of himself.  Are you willing to consistently put the interests of others ahead of your own?
