The Teachable Heart

Many missed who Jesus was the first time He came to earth; but He will not be missed the second time He's here! For when He returns, Christ will not come as a helpless baby, but as the conquering King! 

It is so tempting in our day and age to want to win by doing battle. Ultimately, heaven belongs to the faithful, not the forceful.

There’s a lot of noise out there; what are you doing to ensure you’re hearing from God?

When we fully consider what Christ did for us, the only reasonable and logical response is to offer ourselves to His service the rest of our days. 

The giver and the recipient are both blessed.  But in God’s economy, the giver is somehow blessed more. 

If we don’t enter the marketplace of ideas and worldviews with a stubborn resolve to stand, we will quickly be ushered out on our ear.

At the end of the day, we all will give in to something – either our passions/flesh or God’s Spirit.  Who, or what, is controlling you? 

Making  a decision can be hard, especially when the options are so many and so varied.  Sometimes it’s easier to obey a direct order than to make a wide-open decision. 

When the odds are against you and the world seems to be shouting, “Give up!  Quit!  Things will never work out!” remember, God is sovereign, and He still brings beauty from ashes.

While mainstream media and big tech companies can effectively silence ministers in the public, they cannot silence you from lovingly sharing the hope of Christ with those gathered around your table

To anyone who is willing to see and hear, God waves His arms and yells, “Here I am, Here I am.” 

No matter what you have done, if you have placed your faith in Christ, God is still your Father, and you are very much still His beloved child!

Fear is one of mankind’s most natural reactions to uncertainty. We don't have to have all the answers at once; we need only obediently do the next right thing!

Did you know there is a good, godly type of shame? We'll take a look at it today.

It was the early church’s “recipe” for reaching a lost world then, and it’s a good one for today as well. 

Their joy rested in having been found worthy by God to join Jesus in His suffering.

Calling “acceptable,” what God has clearly called “sin,” is perhaps the oldest lie in the book.

Healthy churches have leaders who are happy to share and members who are happy to serve.

The early church was far from the paradise on earth some people seem to think it was. 

Foundations and pillars which shift along with popular opinion will soon give way. 

To take God’s message of hope and love to others, we must make the time, and we must be willing to climb some stairs. 

Through Christ, the scales are forever tilted in our favor – and you can KNOW it.
