Forewarned is forearmed. Jesus warns his disciples about the persecution that will come their way so they won’t fall away. But more than that, he helps us see what the Holy Spirit is doing in our world so that we can know what we’re to be doing as well.

One of the great challenges of following Jesus is that it causes us to stand out from the crowd. Jesus goes as far as saying that those who follow him will face hatred. So what can we learn from Jesus to help us persevere even when the going gets tough?

In the call to love one another in the greatest way, we have to discover where the power to love like this comes from. Simply put, it arises in discovering the outrageous and expensive Jesus has shown for us.

Jesus talks about the things that come out of our lives as fruit. The truth is that we all produce fruit of some kind. The question is. What does the fruit from your life say about who or what you’re connected to.

Compared to the 613 laws that Jews had, Jesus gives us one! It would be the hallmark of his followers, the proof to the world that we’re the real deal.
