The State of Basketball

It's crunch time for some of our teams, which side of the bubble will Butler end up on? We say they will make the tournament. Ball State also has a tough road ahead to make the MAC Tournament and the Screaming Eagles are going to make the OVC tournament and that is just a fact. We thought last week was sad; this has to be the worst week of the season for the State of Basketball. The state went 3-16, only Purdue, Notre Dame, and Purdue Fort Wayne got wins this week. With only a handful of games left in the regular season it’s crunch time for a few schools to try and make their respective conference tournaments. Tune in!

It was a tough week in Indiana with our guys going 9-11. Indiana State took what Lunardi said personally and Evansville looks to be getting back on track. All 11 teams played Saturday and with two rivalry battles the state HAD to take 2 losses no matter what. We also talk about Flying Rams and a Feline Battle in the Jungle. Tune in!

Indiana State and Purdue are in first place in their conferences and will definitely win the regular season titles. Butler is going to make the tournament after their second signature road win in the Big Twelve. Indiana’s NCAA hopes are probably dead unless they win the B1G tournament. I think after Zach Edey’s week we can officially call him the Tallest Player in basketball once again! Edey had a dominant, dare I say historic, week and made Indiana look like a doormat in Assembly Hall. Conference races are starting to heat up! IU, Purdue, Indiana State, and PFW are at the top and firmly in the hunt for their conference title. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays! We had a pretty light week in the state of Indiana, but there was still a lot of good ball to talk about. Tune in to learn about our petition to rename West Lafayette, IN "Dunk City, IN".

We went on a college visit this week! Coach Jon Coffman let us watch practice and gave us some sweet PFW gear for our new studio. Purdue is the number 1 team in the country and the favorite to win the national championship. Indiana State won their in-state matchup against Ball State in Indy and looks like the clear number 2 in the state. And somehow Southern Indiana moved up in KenPom without play...

Not a lot of shake-ups in our Power Rankings this week. Purdue got a great non-conference win in Zach Edey's hometown of Toronto, while Indiana, Notre Dame, Evansville, and Southern Indiana got run off the court. We break it all down for you here as we get ready for an exciting Week 6 (aka December 16) slate of games!

Conference play kicked off this week! Purdue took its first loss and a lot of teams went 0-2. There was a lot of good ball, but also a lot of bad ball. We recap it all for you!

Feast Week is over! We ate a lot of food and watched even more basketball. Several teams played in MTEs (Multi-Team Event) this week and we break it all down for you here. We learned something new about every team's potential and really got to see what improvements might need to be made as conference play is almost upon us.

With 22 games played in week 2 we got a good look at the potential that some of these teams have. Some teams showed a lot of promise while others showed signs of concern. It was a good test as we head into Feast Week!
