Today we examine verses 8 and 9 of Matthew chapter 2. The wise men are Instructed by Herod to go to Bethlehem, find the young child, and return again with His location. There is much to learn in these two verses.

The arrival of the wise men sparked quite an upheaval in the hearts of Herod and all of Jerusalem. Today we examine the two ensuing interrogations of their arrival.

Today we further examine the intentional worship of the wise men. Our worship must be on purpose and informed. We do not worship God blindly. He has revealed Himself to us.

Today we begin to examine Matthew chapter 2 and the visit of the wise men. We'll address a few misconceptions and glean some practical applications along the way. Hope it's a blessing.

In this edition of SITG we finish Matthew chapter 1 with some practical applications from Joseph's response to his dream.

The Interpretation of Joseph's Dream. Matthew tells us in verses 22 and 23 that the events surrounding Jesus' conception and birth fulfilled a prophecy of Isaiah.

What did Jesus come to do? Matthew 1:21 tells us He came to "save his people from their sins". Today we take a little closer look at statement.

We are further examining the significance of Jesus' name and it's meaning. Who are "his people" whom "He shall save"?

Today we'll focus on verse 21 of Matthew chapter 1 and the instruction Joseph received concerning Jesus' name.

In Joseph's dream he is instructed to receive Mary his spouse and raise her son Jesus.

Today we examine Joseph's dream wherein He gets confirmation of Mary's explanation of her pregnancy.

We are looking futher at Joseph's reaction to the news of Mary's pregnancy.

In this episode we cover the latter half of Matthew 1:18. Mary was "found with child." This was apparently a shocking discovery.

Today, we'll begin to discover the grace in this genealogy of Jesus. There is grace, first of all, for the scattered. This we'll see in verse 2.

In this episode we continue to examine an obstruction among the gaps in this genealogy. It concerns Jechonias who is mentioned in verse 11 of Matthew 1, and a curse placed upon him by the LORD.

In our examination of the "gaps" within this genealogy, we saw some omissions. Today, we begin to look at an obstruction. In Matthew 1:11 we read, "Josias begat Jechonias". Who is Jechonias and what do we need to I know about him?
