Daily Grindhouse film critic Jim Donahue stops by for an all Unknown Movie Challenge show, bringing the 1980 Australian oddity HARLEQUIN (AKA DARK FORCES), starring Jesus of Nazareth as Rasputin, and the guy from BLOW-UP playing a British guy pretending to be an Australian guy pretending to be an American. Basically, it's TROPIC THUNDER disguised as Ziggy Stardust.

Jeff and Scott unlock the secrets of SERENITY (no, not that one. No, the OTHER one!) and give you unlimited lives, power-ups, and extra ammo. Then they follow Liam Neeson down a rabbit hole, where they find Judy Garland in blackface, the Lego Movie sequel, Bohemian Rhapsody, Sylvester McCoy as Mr. Mushnik, and Liam Neeson's best role, as a mute, imaginary baseball player.

Scott and Jeff try to agree about Star Trek Discovery but keep getting distracted, then agree to disagree about Glass, which made Scott extremely grumpy. Then horror novelist Steve Van Samson (The Bone Eater King) joins them for the Unknown Movie Challenge and makes them watch The Old Dark House, which turns out to be the cure for grumpiness. Have a potato.

Mike & Ike time travel back got 1977 to review Star Wars.

Jeff and Scott look back at 2018 and find that it's kind of like a monster in your dreams: no matter how slowly it lumbers, or how fast you run, it just keeps gaining on you.

A look back at a high point of the old ASSJAM podcast.
