We will never escape the Star Wars news cycle. Even on light weeks! But thankfully we didn't get too wrapped up and forget to talk about STAR WARS VISIONS. At least the first three episodes of it, anyway!

News, news, and more news! It seems to never end this week folks. We've got THE HIGH REPUBLIC. We've got HUNTERS. And we have KNIGHTS OF THE OLD REPUBLIC!!!

We might be down a Cole this week, but we planned to talk about STAR WARS: THE CLONE WARS film, and by god, we're gonna do it come hell or high water. Our overall opinion? Probably not nearly as bad as you remember (at least with the benefit of 7 seasons of a TV show for context).

This week: pretty much a little of everything. The worst cold open we've ever had, Star Wars comics, Star Wars home releases (plus a fun laser disc surprise), Star Wars Visions, and Star Wars: The Bad Batch finales!!

This is one of our classic "this episode was supposed to be about one thing but ended up being about other things" episodes. We set out to talk about Palpatine since it was Ian McDiarmid's birthday (just his, no one else's), but then we talked about Ahsoka? And Thrawn? Whatever. I know that I had fun.

In their 3rd episode, Austin and Luke jump back into Legends with In the Shadow of Yavin, a controversial take on original trilogy characters, and also a fun little canon story about Mace Windu taking down child slavers! We also manage to talk a bit about High Republic and also what some Marvel comic creators and what Star Wars stories we'd like to see them take on.

This week: Disney wants to send you to fake space for $5000, Lego reimagines Death Troopers, and then we talk some spoiler-free High Republic and some spoilery Bad Batch!!

In another life, July was Prequel Month here at the Skyhoppers Podcast. And while we didn't talk about anything explicitly NOT Prequels this month, we didn't push it nearly hard enough. But we're closing the month with the Prequel to (literally) end all Prequels: REVENGE OF THE SITH.

Star Wars Visions! The Bad Batch! Directors! Cad Bane! Star Wars is doing great and we're here to celebrate it this week! But mostly by talking about The Bad Batch episodes from the last two weeks.

This week we talk about episode 7 and 8 of The Bane Ba-er, The Bad Batch! Lots of drama (some of it at the expense of logic/orders), lots of Rex, and lots of great Wrecker content!!!

The podcast is AGAIN at half strength this week, but it's the other half this time! Dakota and Eva lament the lack of gays in Star Wars by doing their own little Pride episode!! Also it is episode 229 even though Eva says 228 only to be promptly congratulated by Dakota for getting it right. Happy Pride everybody!! Audio hiccups are left in situ as to not taint this historic occasion.

Even though the podcast is at half strength this week, Ben and Cole soldier on through episodes 5 and 6 of The Bad Batch. A lot of action, but also a lot of good character moments as well on top of a few mysteries! They don't even spend THAT much time talking about Canon Concerns.

A very discussion heavy episode this week! We're missing Dakota because he died, but the rest of us get into our first-ever voicemail, a terrifying Star Wars would you rather, the partial RPG-ification of the franchise and what that's meant, and the nature of Star Wars "content." Very all over the place, but not in the way you might have come to expect from us.

On this week's episode of The Piehoppers Skodcast, it's time for more Bad Batch! Who is Omega? We don't know, but we love her. We also love Fennec Shand. And Wrecker. And basically all of them. But most of all, we're excited about the officially sanctioned scamming of Grans. Remember: good soldiers follow orders.

On this holiest of anniversaries (or close to it), we're talking about the reason we're all here: STAR WARS EPISODE IV: A NEW HOPE. Kind of a retrospective, kind of a meta discussion, but for better or for worse, all Skyhoppers.

It's finally here! Our long-awaited (by us, anyway) discussion of the first two episodes of The Bad Batch! But first you've gotta sit through our speculation about the much-rumored Knights of the Old Republic remake first, though. Sorry about that.

We're finally getting back around to ATTACK OF THE CLONES! This oft-maligned Prequel has so much more going for it than the popular discourse would imply, and we're thrilled to finally not get distracted by something else and actually talk about it.

"Padawan Lost" and "Wookiee Hunt" this week! Season 3 of The Clone Wars draws to a close with a bit of a bang in the form of some high-quality Ahsoka content.
