The Simple Gospel Church

The church in Smyrna existed at a time of great wealth but yet they lived in tribulation and in poverty. But they were promised the crown of life should they remain faithful until the end. The Pergamum church was situated in a city where satan had his throne - a town rife with idolatry ad sexual immorality, and they compromised. What can we learn from these churches today?

We come to the conclusion of our exploration of the book of James by considering some very important matters such as suffering and abundance, sickness, sin, confession, righteousness, and correcting the erring brethren.

In the third part of the teaching on the resurrection of the dead, we look at the characteristics of the resurrection and rapture of true believers.

Quarrels and fights among believers are always harmful. James explains that these conflicts result from evil desires or lusts, and the cure for these lusts is humility.
