How do you interact with the Word of God that comes in contact with you? The Word of God can take apart the whole of man and has the ability to pierce through everything that makes up a person; body, soul and spirit. Yet, the Word cannot fully do its work in a man if he hardens his heart in unbelief.

Chapter 3 of the book of 1 Thessalonians sees Paul express his initial fears for the church and then his joy and relief that they were still standing strong even after his abrupt departure. He was like a father worried about the well-being of his child who is away from home and facing a wicked and uncertain world. The chapter can be broken into three broad themes which we examine in this study.

We begin yet another Bible Study series, this time exploring the first book of Thessalonians. Paul begins his letter with a note of affirmation, thanking God for the strong faith and good reputation of the Thessalonian church, and in this study, we take a deep dive into the three factors needed to live the Christian life - Works of faith, labour of love, endurance of hope.
