Finishing out their series against the White Sox yesterday afternoon, the Astros go on to win two straight after losing the opener Friday night 5-4. Now four games leading the AL West, Steve Sparks joins and assesses the Astros victorious weekend along with a few long awaited player updates.

With rules constantly changing in the MLB aiming to ensure player's safety and cut down injuries, there's grown talk around the league that they're possibly looking to add a six inning mandate for pitchers. Already limiting the amount of pitches thrown, will this help or hinder pitching staffs?  

Now on a hot streak of eight, the Astros have turned the tide big time since the start of the season in March. Accomplishing almost the impossible following injuries, chasing back to five hundred, and roster depth throughout the season, could Joe Espada being in contention for manager of the year?

Looking to wrap up their series against Tampa this afternoon, the Astros pull out another tremendous win over the Rays now extending their run to seven straight. Dana Brown joins and discusses the Astros success here in the second half of the season and the Astros aiming to make the post season. 

Continuing their winning streak and now extending to six straight games won, the Astros proceed to lead the AL West division. With still a few starters sitting out, Kyle Tucker was seen attempting to perform basic workouts but still looks unable to return. Can Kyle's season be considered over? 

Coming off a marvelous weekend in Boston the Astros pull out the sweep, winning all three of their games against the Red Sox in Fenway Park. From outstanding pitching performances to phenomenal offensive production, Steve evaluates the Astros weekend followed behind a few player updates to note. 

Set to kickoff their three game series against the Red Sox this evening, the Astros have now arrived at what may be the toughest part of their schedule to come. With the season rolling on and the schedule looking to getting harder, can the Astros withstand their place as division leaders?    

Finishing their series against the Rangers yesterday, the Astros take the series victory along with the Silver Boot for the eighth time in franchise history. Back on top of the division, they take on the Red Sox tomorrow in Boston. Can the Astros sustain the division lead up to the postseason? 

Yesterday evening Framber Valdez pitched through nine innings, almost making it a perfect game with only one out away from his second career no-hitter. The Astros pull out the victory 4-2 as Dana joins and speaks on Frambers performance along with few anticipated player injury updates. 

Kicking off their series against the Rangers, the Astros fall in extra innings to a walk-off homer by Josh Smith. Scoring only four runs in the last seven games the Astros have lost their last two series not due to pitching, but the lack of production offensively. Are the Astros entering a slump?  

Last week the Astros acquired Yusei Kikuchi and Caleb Ferguson just before the deadline, looking to increase their bullpen depth. With Kikuchi's win Friday, the Astros lose the series to the Rays. Steve shares a few thoughts on the Astros production and coming out of an unpleasant weekend.    

With an early tipoff to the preseason, the Texans and Bears kickoff the Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio. With starters sitting out, the NFL debuted a few new rule changes regarding tackling and special teams. With a tease from last nights game, are the new rules any help than they were before?
