The Screen Queen

Send us Fan Mail He’s the lovable St. Bernard that did nothing wrong…until Stephen King came along. This week’s coverage of the horror author follows the story that not even the Queen herself was prepared for what she found out! WARNING: Animal Abuse Mention Part 1: Opening! Part 2: The Dead Zone spinoff Part 3: The Alcoholism that wrote Cujo Part 4: Cujo(s) Part 5: Cujo’s Origins & St. Bernar...

Send us Fan Mail We alllll float in this episode. The story of the sewer clown has been running through everyone for years of this timeless Stephen King tale. But this story had an updated revision that’s aged enough to be revisited for its cultural impact these past years.  I hope everyone digs it!  - The Screen Queen , Sami  Thanks again to my pals Jenna and Kavin (@pitandpestleshop) for their c...

Send us Fan Mail Kicking off the Halloween series is one of the mini series from Stephen King hailed by many to be the best of King’s mini series. But after 31 years how does it fair to be called the best? It’s a saga gem from the 90s that holds a torch to many King fans with many layers to dissect.  Many of the comments in a personal opinion and I tried my hand at making it as careful as possible...

Send us Fan Mail Hi Screen Team! A TV Trailer finally got its time on this segment. With all the current shows coming out, it’s hard to get in time. And the opportunity came up for a show I just had to share my thoughts about before it aired.  ALSO, I realized I made  T error in the rue crime  is  a favorite lambs that it should be Buffalo Bill and not Hannibal Lecter.  I figure people would get i...

Send us Fan Mail Get Jack back and loose your blues because this month I’m covering an 80’s film favorite of mine. Footloose was my number one film I watched when I was 14 years old, I couldn’t go a week without watching it to help me out (and boy it did). But seeing how this film is turning 41 years old this year, it’s time to kick off the Sunday shoes and cut Footloose.  Part 1: Intro and Health...

Send us Fan Mail During the production of this episode, your host hit a BAD case of TMJ. Originally, there was an update at the beginning stating the Action series was ending early due to personal issues. Then seconds after I re-recorded a segment for this episode TMJ came knocking at my door and I’ve been fighting it for days. I made it here just in time so when you listen to it, the placement of...

Send us Fan Mail Spy movies can be a dime a dozen, but when do you get one with the idea of a spy having a family? Now it’s a trope done for kicks, but True Lies defined how it worked. How does this film hold up 31 years later though?  Part 1: The Reveal  Part 2: A James Cameron comedy  Part 3: A Remake of a remake  Part 4: Tom Arnold Part 5: The character building  Part 6: TW ⚠️: Eliza Dushku’s “...

Send us Fan Mail Action August is taking off like Harrison Ford flying off a dam! This was a fun beginning to Action August covering this gem of the genre. Technically this is in the thriller territory but some of the moments of action gets a pass.  Heads up tho—The audio quality is going to escalate up and down in volume. I had some revisions that had to happen in the different places life took m...

Send us Fan Mail ZIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIM! Our alien millennial invader has been a part of our 2000s nostalgia and is a beloved chaotic icon. But what did it take for it get there? Its story is just as chaotic as Zim himself.  Part 1: Introooooo Part 2: The Style and Early Days of Zim (General warning: 5:26-5:50) Part 3: The Dib Request (TRIGGER WARNING - Timecode: 15:10) Part 4: The Cast Part 5: T...

Send us Fan Mail JUST. IN. TIME. I was almost late for this but with two hours to spare, I got to talk about what is technically a historical gem for the LGBT. Utena is one of the best influences I’ve seen and talking about it has been an honor of mine.  Part 1: Happy Pride! Part 2: What is Utena? Part 3: Godmother of Yuri? Part 4: Psychology Notes : Character analysis,  episode highlight, & m...

Send us Fan Mail RECAPS is back in time. Your queen worked double time this week for the Utena episode and covering Squid Games. After the second season came out, I HAD to cover this when I created RECAPs.  Please forgive some of the deviations within this episode. One of them is the names that I described as their number or occupation. Two, I did mess up on the episode list and that’s on me. :) T...

Send us Fan Mail I don’t know about a cure but there is something…FISHY going on with this movie. So with this being a film about mental health (sort of) please take what I say with a grain of salt since I’m not a professional, I just comment on movies and try to be mindful. With that said, this is film that I’ve wanted to talk about and I hope I did it justice or at least a Cure for your ears.  P...

Send us Fan Mail Hi guys, so in this episode you’ll notice an audio background difference. I noticed AFTER the whole episode was finalized, I made a major error in my material. Rather than let an error play, I had to take out the pieces and edit it. Send us Fan Mail There’s a lot that I didn’t ask for Christmas, this film is something I’m glad I didn’t ask for but it exists. This was a rough year for films and this was a film that wasn’t the jack of all trades (and it even had a Jack in it).  Part 1: Getting Down With The Sickness Part 2: The supposed plot Part 3: The lack of jokes  Part 4: What was this film supposed to be? Part 5: We have t...

Send us Fan Mail There’s something else nipping at our noses, and it plays music! It’s been a while since I’ve covered a faaaaamily film. Fair warning—this episode does sound a little..jolted, some parts of this episode required re-recording so it’s a little bit off. But so is Jack Frost and you’ll find out why.  Part 1: Which one? Part 2: A brief history of Jack Frost Part 3: A “Family” movie  Pa...

Send us Fan Mail For the third year doing this, I have an episode starting out the Christmas series with a special that has way too many references to The Simpsons.  Part 1: Welcome to The Christmas Series  Part 2: Olive, 25 years later Part 3: Made as a “Joke” Part 4: The Simpsons Lore Part 5: The References  Part 6: REM?
