The Sanderlanche Podcast

Jaymee is out again, but the other three of us are hard at work proposing wild theories and indulging in long, sometimes bizarre tangents. So, you know, we've got that going for us on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

The flashback in this section contains some very interesting possibilities. The current-day chapter has almost as many. And is that Hoid that we're seeing here, there, and everywhere? It might just be.

We've known it was coming all book. We've been waiting for it, wondering when the hammer would fall. The assassin in white has been in the wings, but when would he make himself known? It wasn't the end of part 1. It wasn't the chapter called, "Assassin." When, storms curse you, when?! Now. It's now, on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche.

Look, yall, some stuff happened. Is anyone really to blame? Maybe. But why dwell, right? 

Joe didn't make it this episode, but Dac and Jaymee have some thoughts. Between Kaladin on the sparring ground and Shallan on the road, interesting things are happening on this week's episode of The Sanderlanche!

Part 2 of the book is well and truly begun. Kaladin is being loaded down with work, and Shallan is trying to Jasnah her way to the top. Somehow it's all going relatively well on this week's episode of the Sanderlanche. ... It can't last.

Two repeat Interlude characters. Rysn returns from last book and Eshonai from earlier in this same set of interludes. Then we return to Shallan. Some interesting stuff happening here. Too bad Jaymee was out with a cold.

We're approaching the end of Part 1, and things are happening. For Shallan, they're not such great things. Even worse for Jasnah. Kaladin, on the other hand, is finally getting some wins under his belt. Not sure we believed it would ever happen. We're still sort of re-setting the stage here at the start of the new book, and yet, information dumps about the nature of spren and the Knights Radiant are popping up as Jasnah decides to share with Shallan some of what she's been keeping to herself all this time. Jaymee wasn't feeling well this week. So we had to push forward and visit Threnody without her. This adventure with Silence Montane and the Shades of Threnody was a spooky and compelling take to break up our coverage of the Stormlight Archive.

We've made it! We're finishing The Way of Kings, and part 5 just keeps the hits coming with surprises and twists and quasi-happy-endings around every corner. It's kind of a lot to take in after so long on our trip to get here. 30 episodes of this book, not counting all the others that paved the way. And on top of all that, our podcast crew is getting excited. Things have started happening, and knowing Brandon, they won't stop any time soon.
