Proverbs 15:1–4 teaches that our words have the power to heal or harm, to stir up anger or to soothe tension. A gentle answer can calm conflict, while harsh or perverse speech breaks the spirit and undermines community. These verses call us to cultivate wise, life-giving communication rooted in humility, honesty, and reverence for the Lord.

Romans 12:17–21 calls believers to reject the world’s instinct for revenge and instead embody the radical love of Christ. Paul urges us to live honorably, leave justice in God’s hands, and respond to enemies with kindness that disarms hostility. In doing so, we overcome evil not by mirroring it, but by conquering it with good, reflecting the mercy we’ve received from God.

Matthew 18:15–17 teaches us the redemptive process of handling conflict among believers.
