It is vital that we do not isolate ourselves from the body of Christ, because, in doing so, we isolate ourselves from the support of others that we will certainly need when we become afraid. Not only that, but God also desires for us to be connected in a community so that we can support those who are facing great uncertainty.

Looking to the past can often feel like a tricky thing from our human perspective. Our past often consists of hurt and bad memories. When we look to the past, let us look at what God has done through and despite all the mistakes, all the pain, and all the hurt.

When I am overwhelmed and things seem too big to handle, I have a tendency to hide or run away instead of turning to God. My first response is to get anxious and to start to spiral. But this is where turning to God is important. God knows that we get scared, but He has given us access to His peace.

We, who are in a relationship with Jesus, have nothing to fear, for God is with us. We are told to watch for Jesus’ coming. It should prompt us to pray for those of our family and friends who do not know Jesus as Savior, that their eyes and hearts would be open to the saving power of Christ.
