Religion always adds to salvation; it complicates what Jesus intended to be more simple. Jesus said His yoke was light and His burden was easy. He came and when He did, He uncomplicated what the religious leaders made difficult.

Here's a look back at all God did in 2011 and a look forward to 2012 for Ridge Church

Christmas is a season filled with hope. But sometimes, we find ourselves hopeLESS instead. The good news of the Gospel is that the birth of Jesus brings the HOPE we have been seeking.

It's easy to get lost in the business of Christmas. For just a moment, we should take a minute to slow down, breath deep, and focus on Jesus and 3 reasons we should worship him and focus on him this season.

Labels lie. They tell us we're not good enough; too fat, too skinny, unworthy, uncalled, divorced, single, adulterer, liar, thief, etc. The longer we believe the label, the more like it's description we will become. Our God however is a god of restoration and second chances. He destroys the false labels and labels us HIS.

Martin Luther said, "be killing sin or it will be killing you." Sin is a formidable foe and it must be stopped. The only way it can be stopped is to have it put to death. And Jesus did, by nailing it to the cross. Part 2 of Pillars serves as a reminder to us, to be killing sin.

Reminders are good. Sometimes we just need a little reminder. It never hurts to be reminded of God's past faithfulness to encourage our hope in his current and future faithfulness. God IS faithful. Do you believe that?

In Matthew 28, Jesus tells his disciples to GO. It's not a suggestion, it's a command. In part 4, we look at what Jesus told his disciples to do when they go and how we are to imitate him.

When we think spiritual growth, we usually think bible studies. We don't need more bible studies. We need to obey what we've heard. Spiritual growth happens best in obedience...not more bible studies.

We all gather in community. But why? And who should we gather with? What should we do when we gather? Look no further than the example of Jesus for the answers
