James 1:27 and Ephesians 1:2-6There is no better picture of the Gospel than in earthly adoption. At Ridge Church we have 7 families that have experienced adoption, have adopted or do foster care. This week we tell those stories. The good news is, if God is your father, you've been adopted.

James 3: 2-12Our words have the power to be life giving, or life sucking. Do our words point people towards Jesus, or do they cloak Jesus from people? If our hearts are surrendered before God, our tongues will be controlled before people.

On Thursday January 23rd, our friend, elder, brother, son, husband and father John Monday, went on to claim his place with Jesus. That Sunday, we stepped out of our regular series, and preached his last earthly sermon.

James 2: 14-26James shows us the difference between an authentic faith and a false faith. We must answer the question as believers, "has our relationship with God changed the way we live?"

James 1: 12-18The book of James gives us practical advice on how we can navigate temptation in light of the Gospel

James 1: 19-25All scripture gives us something to apply. If we don't apply what we know, we'll never grow. We must hear, do and be.

Luke 24:13-35Christmas has a way of being chaotic and crazy, and if we're not careful, we'll wake up on December 26th covered in 10ft of wrapping paper and 5lbs heavier and ask, "where did Christmas go?" Let's not let that happen this year.

2 Kings 4: 1-7What do you do when you find yourself in a place of need, a place of lack and emptiness? Do you focus on what you don't have? In week 4 of Underdogs, ask the question, "what do you have in your house" to fill your place of need.

John 5: 1-9We all have labels we carry around; mom, dad, son, daughter, teacher, boss, etc. But some labels hurt and we don't know how to get past them; slut, religious, fat, divorced. Labels lie, but the TRUTH will set us free.
