So excited for the upcoming publication of my first devotional book called Prayer Closet Devotional... In life, we might find ourselves in a trauma bond and not realize it. To trauma bond is to form an attachment to an abuser. Spiritually, we can easily find ourselves in a trauma bond relationship with the enemy. How did we get here? How do we break free? Looking at John 8:12-20, Jesus is the light of the world.  If you remember the commercial for Motel 6, it say "we'll leave the light on for ya" but do we just run to Jesus every once in a while if we need him and treat him like Motel 6 (expecting him to be there on our terms) or do we live like we need him everyday? Prayer is a powerful tool that everyone can use!  But when we pray with the intension of God moving in the lives of others SO THAT others will benefit instead of ourselves, we begin to pray with a Kingdom mindset and perspective! Much Agape ev'body! Shan, the Recovery Pastor

Scripture is full of people who struggled with addiction, affliction, and disgrace.  We must face the fact that God is the only One who can give us fulfillment.  Everything else is temporary. Much Agape ev'body! Shan, the Recovery Pastor

Happy 4th of July!  During the holidays, we are reminded that it is a difficult time for anyone in recovery.  Do we really think about this outside of Christmas and Thanksgiving?  If you are struggling with trauma response, it is ok to ask for help! Much Agape ev'body! Shan, the Recovery Pastor
