Recorded in the spring of 2021, Jay takes a deep dive into the life of master shaper Jimmy Linville, one of a dying breed of bodyboard shapers.  Jimmy is based in Oceanside, California and talks about his history and philosophy of making that elusive perfect bodyboard.  

Jay recounts his experience at the Master Blaster event and contest in April 2021 which featured a Master's division (40 and older).  He also throws down the info on the upcoming 50th anniversary of the invention of the bodyboard celebration!  

Jay takes us back to where it all began for him as a young kid.  How he went from growing up in the suburbs of Washington, DC, to moving to the beach at 16 and committing his life to bodyboarding.

Jay recounts his experience traveling to the North Shore for the first time ever for the very first Morey Pipeline International event in 1982 including the emergence of Mike Stewart from complete obscurity to putting the world on notice that he would be the man to beat in the future!  

Jay recounts how he went from amateur to pro and made the big move from the east coast to California, and discusses the early bodyboarding scene at his home break- T-Street in San Clemente.
