Sukkos is the only Jewish holiday which has an additional commandment of "simcha." In this week's schmooze, Rabbi Stark discusses this additional mitzvah and its connection with the Yom Tov of Sukkos.

During Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur davening we say that the way to have one's evil decree torn up is through "Tshuvah, Tefilah, and Tzedakah." This means that tshuvah is clearly distinguishable from tefilah and tzedakah. So what, actually, is "tshuvah" and how do we properly do it?

We are in the period of time classically known as the Aseres Yemei Teshuvah. However, the the mekubalim refer to this period as the "days of the yud gimmel midos of rachamim." Rabbi Stark discusses the importance of these days and why they are inextricably linked with the 13 midos of rachamim.

Rosh Hashanah is all but upon us, yet, many of us do not understand how to connect with this auspicious day. In this week's schmooze, Rabbi Stark discusses what Rosh Hashanah is all about and the emotions we are to feel during this special time.

Last week, the Masgiach discussed how one must "connect with themselves" before they can ever create a relationship with Hashem. Building upon that, Rabbi Stark now delves into the values one must have and how that will help them to build this relationship with Hashem which they so desperately desire.

In Parshas Ki Savo, we are introduced to the idea of VeHalachta BeDrachav—to emulate Hashem and follow in his ways. In this bonus feature, Rabbi Stark discusses what exactly this means and if it is just a "nice" way to behave or if this is actually one of the 613 Mitzvos.

The word "Elul" is an acronym for "Ani L'dodi V'Dodi Li" (I am to my beloved and my beloved is to me), which represents the relationship we are trying to build with Hashem during this auspicious time. However, before one can have a good relationship with another they must first have a healthy relationship with oneself.

The "3 Weeks" have begun, once again. As such, the Mashgiach would like to discuss with us how we can connect with Hashem and Yerushalayim during this period.

Bein Hazmanim has [un]officially begun. Thus, Rabbi Stark discusses how to ensure that one has a "successful" Bein Hazmanim.
