The most well known prayer in the Bible begins with the simple, "Lord teach us how to pray." In this episode you get a breakdown of what is actually in the prayer, in addition to how it can help us meditate and effectively pray. We hope this edifies you! Have a blessed week! Last week, went through this video by Jubilee: https://youtu.be/6tYxnt3gCyI  This week, we finish the video and talk about the importance of adhering to God's word, even (or especially) when it's inconvenient to us. It's not about the label we put on ourselves, but rather if we fear God and are seeking to honor Him in our lives. Ice Field by WYS Provided by Lofigirl On Youtube: https://youtu....

Is the Christian life about being a constant buzzkill? No - rather, in what we do enjoy, we are supposed to seek to bring glory to the name of God. Today, Charlie and I discuss the need for us to contextualize what we enjoy through the lens of how we can bring glory to God. Hope you enjoy! Do we still need to fast? Was it just for a people of the past, or does this practice continue to apply to this day? Today, Charlie and I discuss this interesting topic and perhaps come to a conclusion you may not have thought about before. We hope you enjoy and have a blessed Monday!  Here is some credit for the new music used in the podcast: Desert Nights by L'Outlander Provided by Lofigirl...

Christian faith is often defined by hypocrisy and acting better than people on Sundays, but them acting just as bad as others (if not worse) during the week. That's not the way it's supposed to be, so today we hypothesize why this is and discuss what we could do to work on not being just Sunday morning Christians. Welcome to our new Monday show! Hope you enjoy!

After talking about deconstruction a little bit, Charlie and I discuss some old things we believed and we had to "deconstruct" in order for us to grow, mature, and read scripture better! Hope this podcast is helpful. Thank you again for all your listenership! :) God bless!

Continuing to talk about what Rhett had to have about the church in 2020, Charlie and I wanted to address where we believe he's right and also other places where his argument starts falling apart. We hope you'll enjoy and as is normal - let us know if you disagree. Rhett and Link's podcast Ear Biscuits had a lot to say about the church and the failures that happened in 2020. For the next couple of weeks, we want to talk what we disagree about in their critique, but also places we can grow as a church and as Christians. As usual if you disagree or have more questions, please let us know! Follow us on Instagram! @thepilgrimssong Here are our resources for this...

Are we supposed to never judge? Or do we judge too harshly? Often, we fall on either side of the spectrum. Today, Charlie and I discuss the need for us to have a balanced, Jesus centered view of judgement and how we can apply that in a lot of different ways. We're prayerful this is beneficial - thank y'all for listening!

Exciting first episode of a new era - we officially have our co-host, Charlie! We have a lot of stuff that's coming that we're really excited about - hope you'll keep turning in! This episode, we talk about our favorite guy to ever live, our best friend, and our Savior. We talk about him from history, from scripture, and how his resurrection changed everything. Let's talk about Jesus. Enjoy!

COVID-19 affected the way we fellowship. However, the reality is, we were already bad at it and we need a reminder about why. As we emphasize God in our lives, that will make us see our brothers and sisters, as a priority, not just people we care about maybe twice a week. Use this time at the end of this pandemic to glorify God.

The blurred perceptions over what is truly masculine has been - frustrating to say the least. It seems like selfish, domineering attitude, and toxicity seeps from male culture. People blame this on people believing in scripture, when as we read it, that's simply not true. Men are vulnerable, and seek help from each other, they cry, they fight for justice, and they sing. It's the strong ones who de...

Christendom, while most believe in baptism, disagree in what its purpose is. So, Adam and I join forces to look through some scripture about baptism, answer some objections and really dig into the importance of this powerful symbol of grace. We hope you enjoy - thanks for listening and  God bless!

This world is a really selfish place. People do what they want to do for themselves. So, what is the call of a Christian in a place that is centered all on you? Well, of course our call is to be humble and serve as Christ does. Today Clay and I discuss what selfishness looks like, but also what selflessness looks like as well. We hope this will be an encouragement!

If the gospel doesn't change everything about what we do, do we actually believe it? Today, Charlie and I talk through a part of the message we can't forget - our giving in financial, time, and in service. We hope you enjoy and are encouraged!   Check us out on Spotify or Youtube!

We have a hope as Christians that the world doesn't have - we should be telling people! It can be difficult though - to know the right thing to say and how to discuss it. A really important thing for us to do is focus on, but part of that is living as disciples. We've been called to love, and in our actions and lives it should present opportunities to teach Christ to others. Hope this will be a bl...
