We all have a unique, sacred call to fulfill God’s dream for our lives. Not one of us can fulfill that sacred calling apart from God. Each one of us is a part of a dream that originated with God and emanates from God. He is the dream interpreter and becoming is far more dependent on Him than it is on us.

As priest of the Most High God, we have an awesome assignment and a tremendous privilege to re-present the King of Glory to mankind. In this present hour, it is imperative that we not remain in the outer court, but daily go Beyond the Veil to access the power and provision God has for us.

They carried the Tent of Meeting with them in the first testament. God instructed them to build the Tent so He could dwell among them and reign over them as their God and King. In the second testament, God has made us His dwelling place. He has taken residence within us and He’s extending His Kingdom through the willing submission of our lives.

Moses’ Tent of Meeting was replaced by Solomon’s and finally Herod’s Temple. Herod’s, second Temple was destroyed in 70AD. But the heavenly temple, not made with hands, from which the Tent of Meeting and the Temples were patterned, still exists. Jesus has made the Church His priesthood, and we have been called to worship. We were made for worship, in a Temple not made with hands.

God no longer requires us to sacrifice bulls and lambs at the Temple as an act of worship as He did in the Old Testament. As royal priests of the Most High God, we are required to worship. This is our number one priority. God desires to fellowship with us and the Tabernacle was the place designed for worshippers to meet with God. God and His promises come wrapped in unlikely packages. Swaddling is an age-old practice of wrapping infants in blankets or cloths so that movement of the limbs is tightly restricted. Swaddling helps the baby transition from the womb to the outside world. Jesus is “The Promise” wrapped in swaddling sent to liberate us from the swaddling we’ve been bound by.

It’s with faith and patience that we inherit the promises of God. Too often we go on never experiencing God’s promises because this hurried, “I want it my way” world works to rob us of the purpose in waiting and faith-filled prayers. We need both if we are to inherit the promises of God. We must learn how to wait and we must learn how to pray in faith.

Nobody likes to wait. But waiting carries far more purpose than most of us ever realize. Learning to wait is more important than receiving the promise. The person who doesn't know how to wait, never truly receives the promise. Waiting prepares us for the promise that’s been given.
