Through the story of the storm on the Sea of Galiee in Mark 4, Pastor Andrew considers what this narrative tells us about Jesus. When storms come, Jesus still invites us to trust him. Trust his power, his purpose, and his presence.

In Revelation 2 verses 1 to 3, when Jesus says, Repent, to his first disciples, he was calling them to change the direction in which they were looking for happiness. Repent is an invitation to grow up and become a fully mature human being.” Where is Jesus inviting you grow?

This story in the life of Jesus is significant to reinforce the scope of Jesus’ mission and the reach of his Gospel. The actual location of this story and the nationality of the woman are very important: Getting to Tyre and Sidon was not easy, long history with Israel but Gentiles, stronghold of idolatry.

Farzam shared from God's word that following Jesus would actually require suffering and asked a very good question: If Jesus was perfect, why did he have to ‘learn’, and how did he ‘learn’? He said that to learn here was not to go from lack of knowledge to knowledge but rather to experience and practice through testing and use.
