The Pat & Aaron Show

Monday's Pat and Aaron Show wasn't as close to perfect as the Rays were over the weekend, but it was still a fun one. Dave Wills joined the boys to preview the very important series with the Yankees. We also discussed a HUGE WWE show coming to Tampa next week and an ultimate blunder of an NHL mascot from over the weekend.

Friday's Pat and Aaron Show was especially goony. The guys discussed Mike Vrabel saying he would cut off his junk to win a Super Bowl and asked what appendage you'd cut off to secure that the Rays stay in Tampa for eternity. Tampa Bay Sports fans have asked frequently if Bolts owner, Jeff Vinik would be interested in buying the Rays. Joe Smith from the Athletic recently asked Jeff that question and he joined Pat Donovan and Aaron Jacobson on Friday afternoon to give us the answer.

WDAE's own Steve Carney joined Pat Donovan and Aaron Jacobson on Friday afternoon. Steve went over the comments that Kevin Cash made about 93 wins not being enough for the Rays to make the playoffs. He also told us why the bullpen might be where the Rays focus at the trade deadline.

Chris Torello of Spectrum Sports joined Pat Donovan and Aaron Jacobson on Thursday afternoon. Torello told us why he thinks the Bucs defense will be better than people think this season. He also told us why he doesn't understand the key to the city concept.

Today is supposedly the slowest sports day of the year, but that didn't stop Pat and Aaron from having a great show. The guys recapped the all star game and Rob Manfred's comments about the Rays-Montreal plan. Marc Topkin joined us freshly back from Cleveland to discuss his all star experience. After a long holiday weekend the boys were all back together on Monday afternoon. Pat and Aaron were joined by Neil Solondz to discuss the Rays heading into the all star break.
