Episodes

Episode 18 - Round 19 24.07.2022

We beat Melbourne! What else is there to say?! Well, plenty according to the boys - although Dave is out this week for an extraordinary reason. Listen in to find out why! Instagram: @westernbulldogspodcast Twitter: @westbulldogspod

Episode 17 - Round 18 16.07.2022

Plenty of controversy in this episode including Guy's attendance at the soccer, Dave's decision to liken himself to a new player, and Smitty's Instagram antics at Marvel. Underneath it all is jubilation at a win and some careful consideration of what needs to be done to make the finals. Win. Instagram: @westernbulldogspodcast Twitter: @westernbulldogspod

Episode 16 - Round 17 10.07.2022

The boys are doing their best to stay positive but the Dogs haven't given them much to work with. They talk about what time it's acceptable to tune out of a game when you're being thrashed and which of them is responsible for the loss by breaking tradition. And they try to sort out a time for the next recording - never easy! Instagram: @westernbulldogspodcast Twitter: @westernbulldgospod

Episode 15 - Round 16 03.07.2022

The boys would have had more to say this week if we'd got up against the Lions but it's hard to stay positive when you capitulate to the tune of 41 points. Nonetheless, the atrocious umpiring gets a good run and Dave asks the big question - is it acceptable to mark the ball on the goal line when it's sailing through from your teammate's kick? Episode 14 - Round 15 26.06.2022

Guy and Smitty welcome back Maverick after a strong win against the Hawks. The boys review the game and then talk about the idea of going too far in response to Naughts having his headband ripped off - unacceptable. There's also a match preview and plenty of bagging of Dave for his lack of commitment to the show.  Instagram: @westernbulldogspodcast Twitter: @westbulldogspod

Episode 13 - Round 14 20.06.2022

It was an absolute goal-fest in the Round 13 game against the GWS Giants. The boys talk about Cody's courage, Cody's goals and Cody's out of the box personality. You get the feeling they might just love the number 19. Smitty tells his own story of dislocation, Dave is put on notice - again - and they preview the upcoming game against Hawthorn: we'll win. Episode 12 - Round 12 05.06.2022

It was a must win game against Geelong that we let slip through our hands. The boys are gutted at the loss, and have some constructive criticism for the umpires. They also talk about the things we don't see any more and put a call out to anyone who got a tattoo after the 2016 Premiership. Send in a pic! Episode 11 - Rounds 10 & 11 30.05.2022

After a week off thanks to work, sickness and interstate travel, Smitty and Guy are back to dissect the games against Gold Coast and West Coast. They also talk 200 gamers, follow the evolution of the interchange bench, and take a look at the game coming up against the Cats - a must-win encounter!

Episode 10 - Round 9 16.05.2022

Dave makes his triumphant return to the show as the boys revel in a win over Collingwood. They also talk scoreboards, photos with former greats, and the kind of match analysis that makes your head spin with its level of detail.

Episode 9 - Round 8 07.05.2022

Did Port Adelaide win or did we lose? The boys are at a loss to explain what happened in the Round 8 clash when we had more of the ball and weren't obviously outplayed. So they focus on a few highlights and then talk about how to handle games in enemy territory. And they bag Dave again, just a bit.

Episode 8 - Round 7 04.05.2022

Although much of the episode is dedicated to bagging Dave for his lack of commitment to the podcast, Smitty and Guy also talk about the win over Essendon, classic Bulldogs moustaches and hairstyles, and the unusual practice of clubs using pop songs - including Collingwood's theft from the Doggies of an Angry Anderson classic back in 1990.

Episode 7 - Round 6 24.04.2022

Is there anything worse than a one point loss? How about not getting a free burger as promised on the way home from Ballarat? Not many positives to take from this week so the boys talk about what we need to get going again and how they've caught up on games they couldn't attend over the years. Instagram: @westernbulldogspodcast

Episode 6 - Round 5 16.04.2022

The Good Friday clash against North Melbourne turned out to be a Great Friday for the Dogs and the boys are loving it. They also talk unusual footy sayings, reveal their own origins as Doggies supporters, and start a campaign to get a match played at the Whitten Oval. Along with the usual banter, unverified claims and big laughs. Instagram: @westernbulldogspodcast

Episode 5 - Round 4 10.04.2022

The boys are hurting after the Dogs threw the game away against Richmond with appalling kicking in front of goal. They give more analysis than usual and then talk players who've transferred clubs before looking to the blockbuster Good Friday clash agains the Kangas. Instagram: @westernbulldogspodcast

Episode 4 - Round 3 02.04.2022

We had a win! The boys are ecstatic about knocking off the Swans. They talk highlights, banners, and countdown clocks! Instagram: @westernbulldogspodcast

Episode 3 - Round 2 26.03.2022

The boys were hoping for a win against Carlton but it wasn't to be. They talk about how to handle bandwagon supporters you haven't heard from in months who suddenly start texting when their team is up. Traditions also get a run, as well as the big question of how long it takes to get over a loss. Follow along on Instagram for stacks of Doggies content: @westernbulldogspodcast

Episode 2 - Round 1 18.03.2022

The boys are a bit flat after losing the first game of the year, but that doesn't stop them from staying positive about the weeks ahead. They also talk about the important issues - like what number was on your first Doggies jumper. Listen in for another round of laughs!
