This month we’ve got new music from TOKiMONSTA, Jayda G, Boys Noize, Lone, Star Parks, the Sirens of Lesbos and many more. There's a good mixture of lo-fi chilled-out beats, indie music and deep house. And loads of other weird and wonderful new music.
June 2020 Mixtape 02.06.2020 2:48:06
June's Mixtape includes three hours of summer sounds. Featuring new music from Star Parks, Disclosure, Alex Boman, Magic Bronson, Jacques and Agoria. For me, the music that best represents summer is a combination of Reggae, High Life, Afrobeat and Surf Rock. And I think there is a good mixture of all of that in the first hour of the mix.

The 80's Christmas Mixtape 19.12.2019 1:37:39
I grew up in the 1980s and for me, the 80s had some of the best Christmas music. A lot of it still feels fresh today. I mean... it's not Christmas until you have "Christmas Wrapping" by the Waitresses blaring out the radio. And "Last Christmas" by Wham! C'mon. Christmas songs don't get better than that. And the video for that song! George Michael and his pals retreating to a painfully cheesy 80s s...

November 2019 Mixtape 01.11.2019 1:34:09
To celebrate the month of November, we’ve got a brand new TNLF Mixtape with over an hour of the best weird and wonderful music. And while “weird and wonderful” new music is what we are all about at The New LoFi, this mix might be too random even for us! But hey, we’re just giving you the music that is coming out now and mashing it up into an eclectic mix for your listening pleasures.
October 2019 Mixtape 01.10.2019 1:33:53
I don’t know what it is about Fall that makes me feel like listening to indie music. Maybe there is more indie music produced in the Autumn months? Maybe it’s that stripped back sound that compliments the season getting crisper and leaves falling…. it’s like nature is stripping back.
September 2019 Mixtape 01.09.2019 1:10:33
What’s up mixtape aficionados? September is here, and with it comes a new mixtape. This month’s mix includes sound from all over the place. From Scandinavia to Southern California. From South America to East Africa. There is a very world music feel to this months mix. And by “world music” I don’t mean the genre. There is just a wide range of sound that doesn’t necessarily come from the Westernized...
August 2019 Mixtape 01.08.2019 2:07:42
You can think of this mix like an old school mixtape that has an A-side and a B-side. The A-side is heavily influenced with music found south of the equator. Afro-Caribbean, Brazilian, and music from parts of west Africa that conjure up sunny summer vibes.
July 2019 Mixtape 01.07.2019 1:08:22
The July mixtape is about three things: sun, fun, and dirty mother-f-ing beats. Summer is in full swing here in the northern hemisphere so it’s time for some good old-fashioned mixtape. Let’s talk about what you can expect from this month’s mix. First off, we’ve broken some rules. We’ve been told that when making mixtapes, you are NOT allowed to repeat artists. We mostly follow that rule, but this...
June 2019 Mixtape 01.06.2019 59:04
Although it's still technically spring, today felt a lot like summer has arrived (at least in the northern hemisphere, sorry Australia). To celebrate, we've put together a mixtape filled with summer sounds and deep house beats.
May 2019 Mixtape 01.05.2019 1:17:57
It’s May! Spring is here in the northern hemisphere. The new website design is here. And there’s a new mixtape for you to listen to! Since the website has been down for the last couple of months, we’ve had to take a break from the podcast. But now that the new design is up, we’ve decided to put together a new hour-long mix to celebrate Spring.
