On this special edition episode, Nate sits down with Anielle McEwan-Lomnicki, better known as AK. February 15th marks one year since AK's accident and she wanted to give everyone an update on her progress and recovery. 

Nate welcomes Hartwick College Men's Soccer Coach, John Scott, to the show. John finished his 14th season at the helm for the Hawks last fall. He is just the seventh head coach in the 64-year history of the program. John is a native of Banff, Scotland and found his way to Hartwick as a player in 1996. Hear about his soccer journey and what it is like for him to lead such a historic program.

Nate welcomes Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt, Matt Martindale, to the show. Matt is a co-owner of the Oneonta Jiu Jitsu Academy and teaches a variety of classes there. He is also a Physical Education teacher in Oneonta and is a Worcester CSD graduate. Hear about how popular this sport has become in our local area.

Nate chats with former Unatego Boys Basketball Coach, Jim Knight. He tells us about the unexpected twists and turns in his coaching journey that led him to become a very successful MAC coach. Jim also talks about what he learned from his experiences coaching in Delhi and across the country in Arizona. 

Nate welcomes back longtime B-G Girls Basketball Coach, Bob Conway. He just earned his 500th career victory at Bainbridge-Guilford last week. He is also approaching 600 total career wins between B-G and Mount Upton. Bob tells us some great stories and discusses what the MAC could look like this season.

Nate catches up with Ryan and Kyle Jaquay in this episode. They are both Cherry Valley-Springfield grads who returned to the area for the opportunity to coach. Sean talks about the most impactful moments he has had on the job including where he was on September 11, 2001 and much more.

Nate welcomes back local dirt track racer, Payton Talbot, to the show. He has big news to share as he was recently named the 2023 NASCAR Division-II National Champion. This is a weekly points system where drivers are rewarded for top finishes throughout the year. Payton talks about his continued success in the racing world and what the future might hold for him. 

Nate brings WCDO color commentator, Skylar Thompson, back to the show. They discuss the hectic fall sports schedule and Sky quizzes Nate on his late night work habits. Josh talks about the upcoming Trooper Entrance Exam and what a career with the State Police entails. Nate welcomes two members of the B-G Baseball program to the show. Head Coach Phil Bianchi and 2023 graduate, Ethan Beames, discuss the Bobcats improbable run to the Section IV Class-C championship game this past spring as a 9-seed.

Nate welcomes longtime Roxbury Softball Coach, Jane Ware, to the studio. She has been the head of the Rockets program since 1982 and has a career record of 499-136. Jane will be going for win number 500 this upcoming spring. Hear about her passion and commitment on staying in the Roxbury community for her entire career.

Nate catches up with Sidney Softball Coach, Susanna Johnson. They discuss how she got into teaching and coaching and how she found her way to SCS. Susanna is an Edmeston alumna and was an all-state goalie on the 2008 NYS Class-D Girls Soccer championship team. Nate welcomes the father/daughter combo of Donnie and Carolee Pierce. Donnie is the Sidney Girls Varsity Basketball Coach and has spent a majority of his career working with different sports teams at SCS. Carolee is a Sidney alumna who went on to play college basketball. She is now working on becoming an assistant coach on the hardwood. 

Nate connects with Oneonta grad, Teddy McGraw for this special Major League Baseball Draft episode. Earlier this week, Teddy was selected by the Seattle Mariners in the 3rd round (92nd pick). He tells us what his feelings were leading up to the big day and what the future might hold for him in his baseball career.

Nate brings on the founder of the Blendos Health and Longevity Movement, Cam Hayes. He tells us about the 2nd Annual Blend-A-Rama 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament on July 29th and 30th in Oneonta. Cam also discusses his long journey from childhood to where he is today and the major obstacles he had to overcome.

Nate catches up with Sidney grad, Hunter Sowersby. He was a 3-sport standout for the Warriors and finished 2nd in all-time soccer goals at SCS with 98. Following high school, he went on to a very successful career at Wells College. He is now an assistant coach for the men's program at Marywood University in Pennsylvania.
