Daniel J. Segura
The Moustachioed Podcastio
The Moustachioed Podcastio is all about honoring our favorite moustachioed actors. Hosted by Daniel Segura, this show was inspired by Daniel's pops, who has sported a mustache for as long as anyone can remember. Daniel's dad basically looks like a Latino Charles Bronson, and that's pretty badass. Let's talk movies and celebrate some hairy upper lips!

MP-035 Trading Places (Eddie Murphy) 01.02.2021 1:19:42
We are back with another moustachioed heavy hitter, that's right, we are honoring the comedic talent that is Eddie Murphy. Although my guest for the show, Trace Levos from the podcast Superhero Soup isn't a fan of Eddie, we both agree it's because he was born in the 90s and didn't get to enjoy Eddie Murphy's work back in the 80s. I picked 1983's Trading Places originally because Trace and I are si...
MP-034 Zardoz (Sean Connery) 25.01.2021 1:03:44
Well it's about damn time the legendary moustachioed actor, Sean Connery, finds his way into The Podcastio. This catcher's mitt-faced son of a gun made bandolier's cooler than ever, and red diapers...well, let's just say he didn't hurt their reputation. I highly doubt anyone that listens to this dumb show hasn't seen Zardoz, but prepare for one hell of a discussion about it. I'm joined by podcast...
MP-033 Miami Vice - Nobody Lives Forever (Edward James Olmos) 18.01.2021 55:29
We are back honoring the legendary Edward James Olmos and his moustachioed death stare. I brought on Charlie from the Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man episode. The dude is a damn expert on the show and an expert on the topic of "dick flicks." Join us as we discuss Episode 20 of Miami Vice, titled, "Nobody Lives Forever." Learn more about Charlie Sacco's love for Vans and Tab here: IG: https://...
MP-032 Zoot Suit (Edward James Olmos) 11.01.2021 1:39:29
This is definitely the most meaningful film to be on the Podcastio. I learned so much just preparing for Zoot Suit (1981) and honestly, my love for the work of Edward James Olmos has actually grown after seeing his performance in this film. I brought on one of my favorite humans for this episode, the great Dr. Faustus! So get those drapes out of the closet, put on your finest tando and suspenders...
MP-031 Devil's Express aka Gang Wars (Warhawk Tanzania) 04.01.2021 53:26
It's a SOLO CHOLO!!! We have Walter Hill's The Warriors to thank for inspiring the making of this movie. You could watch this movie on mute and get about the same amount I got from it with the sound on. Either way, Warhawk Tanzania leads this film with one hell of an epic moustache and that's all it takes to be on this podcast.
MP-030 Santa's Slay (Bill Goldberg/David MacInnis) 23.12.2020 1:20:52
The Podcastio is celebrating Christmas Eve Eve! Boy, did I have a little too much eggnog for this one. Usually I progressively get more drunk in an episode, this time I started on cloud 9. Why? Because I brought on my big brother John to discuss 2005's Santa's Slay. We are honoring the great Bill Goldberg and a guy that plays Paramedic #1, David MacInnis. Editing this one was rough so bare with me...
MP-029 Super Fly (Ron O'Neal) 21.12.2020 1:34:59
There's something about Super Fly (1972) that just amazes me. A dude named Youngblood Priest just walks around being an absolute badass and takes on "THE MAN." This is all happening with the best movie soundtrack that has graced the Podcastio. I'm joined by Chef Robby to tackle this movie and we have a damn great time. Connect with the Podcastio at: IG: @moustachioedpodcastio TW: @mpodcastio Gmail...
MP-028 The Fog (Hal Holbrook) 14.12.2020 2:37:56
I'm not sure how it happened but I somehow have never seen John Carpenter's The Fog (1980). Either way, I think I brought the right guest in to help me break this movie down. Join me and the homie Matt Anderson (the most generic name in the game) as we take on this incredibly powerful fog that pretty much does whatever it wants. Connect with the Podcastio at: IG: @moustachioedpodcastio TW: @mpodca...
MP-027 Tombstone (Sam Elliott) 07.12.2020 1:56:55
Tombstone is celebrating its 27th year anniversary this year so why not make it the 27th episode of The Moustachioed Podcastio! This was the movie that everyone would recommend I cover when I started this dumb show, but I knew I wanted to hold on to it for a special occasion. Well that day has finally come and the boys from The Grindbin Podcast (Mike & Bobby) are hear to help me break down the fan...
MP-026 Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man 30.11.2020 2:40:46
It's time to get our motors runnin' everyone! Featuring two gentlemen that were flying high in the 80s and now find themselves in a movie called, Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man--Don Johnson and Mickey Rourke. I'm joined by the homie Charles, who has seen this one more times than I ever will. IG: @moustachioedpodcastio TW: @mpodcastio
MP-025 The Maddening (Burt Reynolds...AGAIN) 23.11.2020 3:01:54
I got to admit. I think I almost went mad myself recording this episode. I'm joined by Mike "Podfather" Wood from The Grindbin and Tim Yobo, co-host of The Bloody Bits Podcast to tackle this bottom of the trash bin film. We honor Burt Reynolds for the third time in this show. We may need to honor him for every different type of wig he sported throughout his career. Either way, put your finest robe...
MP-024 Night of the Creeps (Tom Atkins) 16.11.2020 2:01:50
What can I say about Night of the Creeps? It may be one of the best horror movies that I've somehow never seen!!! It genuinely pisses me off that I miss this movie, but either way, it's awesome to have seen this movie thanks to the recommendation of the great Bobby Trippett from The Grindbin Podcast. Together, we honor the legendary moustache of Tom Atkins. The man steals every scene that he's in-...
MP-023 Super Troopers (Brian Cox) 09.11.2020 2:54:04
When I started this podcast it didn't take long for recommendations of 2001's Super Troopers to come in. Well, I waited long enough. Joining me today is Eddie the Axe (Axe hitting metal sound) and Tim Yobo, as we breakdown this crazy stoner movie. Will Eddie be able to convince Tim and I that this movie is good? Who knows. Either way, we honor the great Brian Cox, who really shines in this movie a...
MP-022 Shoot 'Em Up (Paul Giamatti) 02.11.2020 2:02:49
It was the year 2007. I'm one year away from graduating college and finally, there is a movie of all action movies about to come out. It's called Shoot 'Em Up. It has the man who should have been James Bond 20 years ago and a sort of pudgy dude who normally plays weirdos but is now playing a badass crazy weirdo. Guess which ones of those two is Paul Giamatti. Yes, we honor the moustachioed Paul Gi...
MP-021 Silent Rage (Chuck Norris) 26.10.2020 1:39:22
Guess who's back...back again...Chuck is back, tell a friend. Good ole' Chuck Norris has found his way back to the podcast. He's an official Moustachioso. My older brother John and I, are discussing 1982's Silent Rage. It's a movie that drives me bonkers, but for some reason my brother has seen it more than 10 times. Find the show on IG at @moustachioedpodcastio and on TW at @mpodcastio.
MP-020 Invasion of the Body Snatchers 19.10.2020 2:13:36
You know, one of the things I love about Invasion of the Body Snatchers (1978) is the fact that the aliens are so nice, minus the fact that they just screech like no ones business. I'm joined by the Brothers McCollum for this classic horror/suspense film. I do maybe one of my favorite "Quick Impressions" in this episode. Enjoy! Find The Moustachioed Podcastio @moustachioedpodcastio on IG and @MPod...
MP-019 Runaway (Tom Selleck) 05.10.2020 1:29:19
There was no way the show wasn't going to honor the great Tom Sellick, who continues to grace us with his masterful moustache to this very day. We discuss Tom Selleck in the sort of future, sort of action film, Runaway (1985). I'm joined by my homegirl, Grace Harryman. Oh yeah, this movie has Gene Simmons and Kirstie Alley in it for no reason.
MP-018 Def-Con 4: Defense Condition 28.09.2020 1:51:31
Ever wanted to see a space movie, but you're also in the mood for Mad Max...AND you also like wholesome Canadian actors?? Well, do I have the movie for you. The homie Michael Tanner joins me in discussing, 1985's Def-Con 4: Defense Condition. Why did they call it Def-Con 4? Why is the protagonist dressed like a ghost buster? How did a kid become the leader of a society in two months? None of these...
MP-017 My Man Godfrey 21.09.2020 2:37:50
Really classed it up for this episode. Brody (@illuminatedmanuscript) aka Vintage B, brings her knowledge of film, fashion and scavenger hunt items to the show. We are honoring moustachioed legend William Powell in the film, My Man Godfrey (1936). I won't lie, I didn't think this movie would actually make me laugh, but it totally did. Carlo may be one of the oddest characters that's been talked ab...
MP-016 Stir Crazy 14.09.2020 2:24:00
I think every fan of comedy can agree that when you put moustachioed legend Richard Pryor and the incredible Gene Wilder in a movie together, hilarious magic happens. My homie Patrick Huerta joins me to discuss 1980's Stir Crazy. A movie that when you read the title and see the movie poster, you'd never think it was pretty much a prison movie. Either way, Richard and Gene find a way to make it an...
MP-015 No Holds Barred 07.09.2020 2:16:08
It was just a matter of time before Hulkamania arrived at The Moustachioed Podcastio. The homie Tim Yobo and I are taking a step into the ring and discussing Hulk Hogan's No Holds Barred (1989). So much growling, so much grunting, so much Hogan booty. Be sure to follow The Moustachioed Podcastio on IG at @moustachioedpodcastio and on TW at @MPodcastio.
MP-014 The Addams Family (1964) Green Eyed Gomez 31.08.2020 47:48
I still can't get the song out of my head! Enjoy today's SOLO CHOLO episode as I cover The Addams Family (1964) Episode 10 "Green Eyed Gomez." This is the first time I've covered a TV show episode as opposed to a feature film. I had a great time with it. The awesome set, the wardrobe, the corny jokes...loved it all. We are honoring John Astin and his moustachioed greatness! He's the man of many fa...
MP-013 Up in Smoke 24.08.2020 2:21:42
It sort of blows my mind how this Canadian dude and this Los Angeles Chicano ran into each other and created a stoner empire. Either way, I'm glad they did. My buddy, Eddie the Axe, and I dive into the stoner comedy gem that is, Up in Smoke (1978), in today's episode. Talk about a movie way ahead of its time. It's sort of amazing how well this movie holds up. It is still to this day incredibly fun...
MP-012 The Cannonball Run 17.08.2020 2:23:55
Burt Reynolds is such a moustachioed legend that he's already back on the show with his 1981 outing in The Cannonball Run! He's officially a Podcastioso. Today, I welcome Dr. Lago Faustus, the official Dean of the Podcastio. The doc saw Cannonball Run, directed by Hal Needham, in the theater when it came out! I saw it last week. Let's see what our impressions are of this million miles per hour epi...
MP-010 El Mariachi 03.08.2020 1:05:28
I remember the first time I saw Desperado at 11 or 12 year old, I thought it was so badass, plus, ya know...Salma Hayek. Then my older brother told me, "Have you seen the first one?" And I said, "The first one?? I thought this was the only one?" "Nah, man...the original one is badass!" So then we rented it shortly after and I absolutely loved it. It was much more rough along the edges, but at the...
