Today finds us finally diving well into the life and event of Nehemiah. Looking at his way of handling the task God had called him to. As we think about leadership it is helpful to be reminded about the difference between doing good things and doing God things. Sometimes we get too caught up in doing good things and lose sight of what God has called us to.

Today we begin a new series on Nehemiah looking through a book by David McKenna called "Becoming Nehemiah: Leading with Significance." Join us as we look at leadership development by studying the life of Nehemiah, a cupbearer to the Persian King Artaxerxes.  What does it take to be a leader?

In today's episode we finish our conversation on the letter of 1 John. There are a few passages in today's section that can be troublesome for interpretation. We always need to make sure as we look to understand what Scripture means that we look to the whole of the Bible. Does the interpretation line up with the rest of Scripture?   

Our continuing conversation on 1 John takes us to chapter 4:7-5:5 today. It boils down to "be kind" and "don't be a jerk". Love for others can be difficult at times, but God loved us first so that we can love others.

Another installment of our conversation on the letter of 1 John, finishing up chapter 3. Today we talk about living out love with action, learning to cooperate with the Holy Spirit in His endeavors to renew and regenerate us, and we sing a little Sunday School chorus.
