How do we become reconciled to God again through Christ? Why is the death and blood of Christ so important to our theological understanding of being Christ's followers?

This Sunday's sermon, October 27, 2024, we invited Rev. Scott Otis back to speak for us.  He spoke to us about, "The Cure for Common Complacency," and challenged us to move beyond a lukewarm faith by reigniting our passion for Christ. Drawing from Revelation 3:14-22, we explored the call to live "hot or cold," fully committed to God’s purpose.

October 20, 2024 This week, at Lyons-Muir Church, our teaching series, In Christ: The Kingdom of God, continues with a look at Jesus as the divine High Priest.  Jesus is taught obedience through his suffering paving the way for the forgiveness of sin for all people. And through the text this week, we wrestle with the reality that divine discipline is not the same a punishment.

October 13, 2024 This week, at Lyons-Muir Church, we continue our teaching series, In Christ: The Kingdom of God, by looking at what it means for Jesus to be our High Priest.  By reflecting on the reality of Scripture in our lives, and how we become vulnerable before God, Paul guides us in understanding that Jesus is our High Priest.
