There’s a verse in this chapter that reveals one of my pet peeves😉. But here’s one of my faves too: “A foolish child is a calamity to a father, but a quarrelsome wife is as annoying as constant dripping.”

“Fools have no interest in understanding; they only want to air their own opinions.” ‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭18:2‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“A crooked heart will not prosper. The lying tongue tumbles into trouble.”

“Those who listen to instruction will prosper, those who trust the Lord will be joyful.”

“The tongue of the wise makes knowledge appealing, but the mouth of a fool belches out of foolishness.”

“A peaceful heart leads to a healthy body, jealousy is like cancer in the bones.”

“Walk with the wise and become wise; associate with fools and get in trouble.”

“A fool is quick-tempered, but a wise person stays calm when insulted.”

“Pride leads to disgrace but with humility comes wisdom.”

“The words of the godly are a life-giving fountain; the words of the wicked conceal violent intentions.” 10:11

“If you become wise, you will be the one to benefit. If you scorn wisdom, you will be the one to suffer.”

“Common sense and success belong to me. Insight and strength are mine. Proverbs 8:14 NLT

Solomon continues to give his son warnings about a path that leads to death. I add a little of my own take at the end. Listen in.

Among other things, this chapter reminds us we need to behave more like ants?! Listen in!

Solomon gives some great advice to his sons. And trust me, he was speaking from experience!
