The Lion Within Us - Leadership for Christian Men
Christian men are in a battle for their lives. Satan will do everything possible to destroy them. The Lion Within Us is a community that provides encouragement to become the leaders God intends us to be. Our main focus lies within three categories: Health (Mental/Physical), Wealth (Careers/Finances) and Self (Husbands/Fathers/Brothers in Christ). By sharpening these areas of our lives, we can find the strength needed to stand firm in our faith and unleash the Lion Within.

684. How To Be A Man With Don Ross 13.05.2026 51:48
Send us Fan Mail Most men don’t need another vague pep talk about “being better.” We need brothers close enough to tell the truth, challenge the drift, and point us back to Jesus when we’re stuck. That’s why I sat down with Don Ross, founder of Manhood Tribes, to unpack what a real tribe looks like for Christian men who want leadership, integrity, and freedom not just more information. We're...
683. Proverbs 15:22 - Spiritual Kick Off 11.05.2026 23:04
Send us Fan Mail Most of us don’t fail because we lack talent. We fail because we try to do it alone. Proverbs 15:22 cuts straight through the noise: “Without consultation, plans are frustrated, but with many counselors, they succeed.” We unpack what that looks like for Christian men who want stronger leadership, better decisions, and a life that actually holds up when pressure hits. We're he...
682. Member Spotlight: Joseph Hart 08.05.2026 55:49
Send us Fan Mail Joseph’s story starts with something most men never expect to say out loud: “I grew up in a cult.” What follows is an honest, gritty walk through the real-life fallout of distorted faith, broken family patterns, emotional shutdown, and the kind of pride that says, I’ll handle it myself. If you’ve ever felt disconnected at home, stuck in secrecy, or unsure how to lead as a Christia...
681. When Kingdom Light Shines With Mark Ellis 06.05.2026 57:28
Send us Fan Mail One prayer under a desk. One atheist’s last-ditch cry for help. One astronaut 238,000 miles from home sensing Jesus so vividly he turns around to look. These aren’t stories meant to entertain you for an hour. They’re a wake-up call for men who say they believe the gospel is power, yet still find themselves hesitant, quiet, or spiritually passive when it counts. I’m joined by journ...
680. Romans 1:16 - Spiritual Kick Off 04.05.2026 27:09
Send us Fan Mail Romans 1:16 is not a soft verse. It’s a line in the sand, and it confronts a problem I see everywhere in Christian men: spiritual passivity. We’ve learned how to agree with the gospel while staying quiet, staying comfortable, and acting like faith is optional. “I am not ashamed of the gospel” calls us out of that posture and into conviction, not to be loud or abrasive, but to be l...
679. Member Spotlight: Jonathan Murray 01.05.2026 32:05
Send us Fan Mail Darkness doesn’t usually announce itself. It whispers, isolates, and convinces us we can manage it alone, especially around sexual sin, shame, and the parts of our story we don’t want anyone to touch. We sit down with Lion brother Jonathan Murray for a vulnerable member spotlight that moves from painful choices to real repentance, and from private struggle to public surrender. We&...
678. Understanding The Gospel Of John With Chris Scotti 29.04.2026 50:37
Send us Fan Mail A lot of us say we’re fine, but Scripture tells a different story: we needed rescuing, and God actually did it. We start with Colossians 1:13–14 and sit with the weight of those words, rescued from the authority of darkness and transferred into the kingdom of Jesus. Then I’m joined by Chris Scotti, vice president and publisher at 316 Publishing, whose story is a straight shot to t...
677. Colossians 1:13-14 - Spiritual Kick Off 27.04.2026 25:35
Send us Fan Mail Four words can rebuild a man from the inside out: rescued, transferred, redeemed, forgiven. We sit in Colossians 1:13-14 and dig into why Paul’s wording is not “churchy language,” but the clearest picture of what God actually does for us when we can’t fix ourselves. If you’ve been carrying the quiet belief that real strength means handling life alone, we challenge that head-on. Re...
676. Member Spotlight: Brent Roe 24.04.2026 48:39
Send us Fan Mail Some of the strongest leaders you know are carrying the heaviest weight in silence and that includes pastors. I sit down with my friend Pastor Brent Roe to talk about what happens when you stop trying to “be good,” realize you cannot earn your way to God, and finally surrender for a faith that lasts longer than a two week camp high. Brent shares his calling story, the surprising m...
675. I'm Just A Guy: Raising A Son 22.04.2026 39:35
Send us Fan Mail Your son is watching more than your rules. He’s watching your rhythms, your reactions, and what you do when life hits hard. We unpack what it means to raise a son with biblical conviction, not cultural noise, starting with the truth of Hebrews 12:11: discipline hurts now, but it can grow something peaceful and lasting later. We're headed to the 1613 Men’s Conference! If you’r...
674. Hebrews 12:11 - Spiritual Kick Off 20.04.2026 19:17
Send us Fan Mail Your kid’s tears in the moment can’t be the judge of your parenting. Hebrews 12:11 reminds us that discipline feels painful now, but it produces a harvest later, and that single truth can change how a Christian dad leads his home. We're headed to the 1613 Men’s Conference! If you’re ready to stop floating through life and start leading your family, your marriage, and your ca...
673. Member Spotlight: Mitch Renda 17.04.2026 45:54
Send us Fan Mail A torn intestine from a jiu jitsu session doesn’t sound like the start of a discipleship lesson, but that’s exactly where Mitch Renda’s story goes. Mitch joins me for a raw member spotlight that moves from early faith formation to a brutal hospital season marked by sepsis, emergency surgeries, and the kind of wilderness questions that test what you really believe about God’s prese...
672. Cultivate: Growing The Fruit Of The Spirit In Your Everyday Life With Dr. Richard Kannwischer 15.04.2026 55:43
Send us Fan Mail Most of us want to grow, but we keep grading our faith with the wrong scorecard. Instead of asking how many “Christian things” we did this week, we’re taking a hard look at the question that actually shapes a man’s life: who am I becoming? Pastor and author Dr. Richard Kannwischer joins us to unpack why the fruit of the Spirit is the clearest marker of real spiritual maturity, and...
671. Proverbs 28:19 - Spiritual Kick Off 13.04.2026 19:27
Send us Fan Mail Your field is telling the truth, whether you like it or not. We open up Proverbs 28:19 and bring it straight into the real world where Christian men live: your health, your leadership, your habits, your marriage, and your walk with God. When outcomes disappoint us, it’s easy to reach for an external explanation and sometimes we even dress it up as spiritual warfare. But here’s the...
670. Member Spotlight: Marcus Korth 10.04.2026 27:53
Send us Fan Mail You can sit in a room full of people and still feel alone as a man. That’s why this conversation hits so hard: Marcus Korth shares how he went from searching for something “missing” to finding steady spiritual growth through scripture-based community, honest conversations, and practical accountability. We're headed to the 1613 Men’s Conference! If you’re ready to stop floatin...
669. Kinda Christian With Roger Ross 08.04.2026 52:02
Send us Fan Mail “Kinda Christian” sounds harmless, but it can quietly drain the life out of your faith. If you’ve ever felt that tug of wanting more from God while also holding back to keep control, you’re not alone, and you’re not stuck. We sit down with pastor, coach, and author Roger Ross to talk about why so many men are open to spirituality yet unsure how to follow Jesus in a real, grounded...
668. Revelation 21:5 - Spiritual Kick Off 06.04.2026 20:48
Send us Fan Mail Your past can feel like a courtroom where the sentence never stops getting read. Today we plant our feet in one sharp line of Scripture and let it speak louder than regret: Revelation 21:5, “Behold, I am making all things new.” I talk straight to the tired man who believes grace “in his head” but still lives like his worst moment gets the final word. We're headed to the 1613...
667. Member Spotlight: Dave Watt 03.04.2026 26:56
Send us Fan Mail Adventure can look like freedom until you realize you’re still carrying the same anxiety, the same control issues, and the same quiet fear that you’re on your own. Chris Grainger sits down with long-time member Dave Watt for a Friday Member Spotlight that starts in small-town Canada, runs through ski resorts and world travel, and lands in Florida with a growing real estate busines...
666. Unleash The Rage Of Negative Emotions With Greg Stewart 01.04.2026 57:49
Send us Fan Mail Most leadership breakdowns don’t start with a big moral failure, they start with a small, fast reaction. I sit down with counselor and author Dr. Greg Stewart to unpack a simple framework that can change how we lead as Christian men: i3, which stands for information, interpretation, and intensity. The core challenge is blunt: stop forming loud opinions and hot emotions before you’...
665. 2 Timothy 2:2 - Spiritual Kick Off 30.03.2026 25:20
Send us Fan Mail Sitting on the sidelines feels safe until you realize it is slowly shrinking your faith. We open 2 Timothy 2:2 and let it confront a pattern we see everywhere among Christian men: watching, consuming, and staying “busy” while avoiding real engagement, real brotherhood, and real responsibility. Paul’s charge to Timothy is not abstract leadership theory. It’s a baton pass designed t...
664. Member Spotlight: Johnny Murphy 27.03.2026 19:22
Send us Fan Mail What if the thing you’re trying to fight alone is exactly where brotherhood could set you free? We sit down with Johnny Murphy, a husband and father from Arizona whose story moves from a whirlwind Vegas wedding to a quiet, steady walk with Christ—guided by a wife who modeled faith, not pressure. Anchored by Romans 12:21, we trace how a short fuse softened into ownership, how secre...
663. I'm Just A Guy: Who's Angry 25.03.2026 31:10
Send us Fan Mail Anger can feel like a fire we can’t name—hot, fast, and costly. We open the hood and trace the heat to what’s really going on beneath: fear, pride, insecurity, and the ache of not feeling needed. With Romans 12:21, Ephesians 4, James 1 and 4, and Mark 3 as our guide, we reframe anger from a weapon into a tool—an indicator light that points to deeper issues and an opportunity for g...
662. Romans 12:21 - Spiritual Kick Off 23.03.2026 19:43
Send us Fan Mail A single verse can flip the script on how we handle anger. Romans 12:21 calls us to overcome evil with good, and this conversation gets practical about what that looks like for men who want to lead with courage, clarity, and conviction. We unpack why not all anger is destructive, how to discern when it’s righteous, and what it takes to channel that heat into holy, targeted action....
661. Member Spotlight: Andrew Sather 20.03.2026 40:19
Send us Fan Mail Ever notice how easy it is to deflect when life gets hard? We open with Genesis 3:12 and follow the thread into modern manhood: prayer that actually moves people, Scripture that aims at the exact battle you’re facing, and a brotherhood that refuses to let you go unseen. Andrew Sather returns to share how a Zoom prayer can feel like a hand on your shoulder, how a Sabbath retreat ca...
660. I'm The Worst With Nathan Clarkson 18.03.2026 41:25
Send us Fan Mail What if the thing you fear most—being seen as flawed—is exactly where freedom starts? We sit down with author and filmmaker Nathan Clarkson to talk about his new book, “I’m the Worst,” and why owning our mess isn’t self-hatred but the starting line for healing. Nathan grew up with a “good guy” image and learned the hard way that performance can’t hold a cracked soul together. When...
