At the heart of competition, people might look at others as a standard instead of looking at the best possible version of themselves. So a child might win but still performing below their capacity. Initially, competition shifts the focus from the internal to the external, so much so that even if I win the race, I wouldn't have answered the question of fulfilling my potential. Listen to this.

There are a lot of merits on having competition in life, but when it comes to raising children, the competition invariably shifts the point of focus from the child to the object of the competition. 🚨 New Podcast!!  The world over, we are trying so very much to change the school curriculums. Kudos to what the previous curriculums have done and have brought. For years on end, one of the biggest arsenals in the school system has been cramming and regurgitating what has been crammed in an exam. The problem here is that it stifles the spirit of a child. 🚨 New Podcast!!  This is a big one. Growing up, many of the peers of my parents reveled in the idea that their children were 'disciplined'. The same bug was very prevalent in our teachers. So we were 'disciplined' left right and center. Hair styles were considered indiscipline. At the end of the day, we grew up in a stifled environment to our creativity, liberty and freedom. If it is only what is in the outside, the formulas, the history, the subjects et all, we are missing a great link here in raising spirit-led children. Matters spirit especially at the individual level are to be excavated. Listen to this.

If we do not look at their uniqueness and difference and just feed them with what we already know worked for grandpa, we are stifling raising spirit-led children. Listen to this.

🚨 New Podcast!!  It is very tempting to run a child's development either on autopilot or on the basis of what is already experienced and known. Many at times we ignore the fact that we need input from the child's psyche and spirit to guide us how we can lead and grow them. Their spirit is critical to this. Listen to this.
