Week 5 of our sermon series The Way. Jesus taught the disciples to serve (John 13:14-16) and Peter teaches the same lesson, even in harsh environments. Love through services is what will change hearts. 1 Peter 2:11-17

Peter learned to love from the Master of love. This is why he stopped to help the man at the gate and its why he writes in his own book about the love that comes from knowing the truth (1 Peter 4:8, 1:22-25). Knowing Jesus leads us to love deeply. Acts 3:1-10

Week three of our sermon series The Way. We witness Peter’s growth as a disciple from being invited (John 1:40-42) to worshiping (Matthew 16:13-17) to wrestling and denial (Matthew 16:21-27, Luke 22:54-62) to ultimately being the leader of the church (John 21:15-17). We too need to grow. Also, growth is not linear (the denial came after his worship moment) but circular. Matthew 16:21-27
