The LAMBcast

Described as one of the Wildest films ever, "Titane" forces us to confront our expectations of movies, and our guest panel this week was divided on how much leeway to give the film. Is it an artistic exploration of gender, body horror and perspective, or is it an irritating, indulgent piece of exploitation agitprop? Come find out where the Lamb community came down on this.

A tiny flock tries to decide if good intentions are enough to make up for not so good film making. We also get enthusiastic about The Card Counter/Goliath/and Copshop.

The most Macho group of Lambs assembles to discuss the latest from nonagenarian actor/director Clint Eastwood.  There is a showdown, but not in the streets and no one gets hurt.

Get ready to enter the podcast, a dangerous place of opinions and knowledge. An impenetrable fortress of cool created by the late Bruce Lee. Five Lambcasters enter the challenge, will they survive? You have to listen to find out.

Keanu Reeves is our actor of the month in the LAMB's Acting School 101 feature. Alongside the monthly blogathon held on the LAMB site, there will also be a monthly podcast episode devoted to the actor and their roles, and wouldn’t you know it but that’s this very show. Rob was joined by Darren Lucas of MOvie Reviews 101 to discuss all things  Keanu Reeves, but mainly the five performances of his t...

A dozen or so LAMBs pay tribute to the 600th Episode of the Lambcast. A Few stories, a few memories, a few stumbles, but its all good.

No fireworks for the 600th Episode, but as a stand alone it is pretty solid. This week, the MCU appears again and we have five enthusiastic Lambs to talk about Shang Chi. Is it merely a nod to an underrepresented culture in the MCU or are we getting a film that truly fits and expands that Universe? Come listen and find out what we thought. It's time to take your place by our side, welcome to the c...

Urban legends don't die, they just get modified in the retelling. This week, we find out what a game of Telephone can do to a horror premise. Was the "Buzz" on this movie justified? or would it be better if it had just kept hibernating. Our guests will tell you what they thought.

It's Lambpardy time again!  It's the last game of the first round of the 2021 Lambpardy tournament! After this show we'll have all nine of the second round players, one of whom will become the 2021 Lambpardy Champardy! Who will it be? And, more pressingly, who will the 9th first round winner be? Well, it's between Todd Liebenow, Doug Jamieson and Rachel Wagner, that much is for sure, and for add...

The Movie of the Month winner was "The Orphanage" championed by Lisa LeaHeey but Tropical Storm/Hurricane Henri kept her from hosting so Howard Casner took over hosting duties and did a great job covering this film for the Lambcast. Is it really a horror film, the guests have their doubts and Lisa may wish even more that she had been on the show.

It's time to Level Up with a new episode of the Lambcast. This week, Richard, Lisa, Howard and Darren are all Gamers and they play to win. Ryan Reynolds stars in the latest film featuring video games, but this time there is a twist, we NPCs get a chance to do something about our lot in life. We explore diversity, theater going habits, existentialism, and human conditioning in trying to figure out...

Our own team of villains gathers to take on the Suicide Squad this week. Each of us has superpowers that are at least as good (or bad) as the characters in this film, and we deploy them without mercy. Listen to Bubbawheat, Jeanette, James, and Todd as they follow Richard's lead into combat with Polka Dot Man and Ratcatcher 2.

Michael Shannon is our actor of the month in the LAMB's Acting School 101 feature. Alongside the monthly blogathon held on the LAMB site, there will also be a monthly podcast episode devoted to the actor and their roles, and wouldn’t you know it but that’s this very show. Rob was joined by Jay of LIfe Vs. Film, The Deep Blue Sea Podcast and the Shepherd of the LAMB to discuss all things Michael Sh...

Critics are acclaiming it as one of the best films of the year, with 90% plus on Rotten Tomatoes. Audiences have been less generous rating it at 52%. How do we rate it here at the Lambcast? Is it Visionary, or Style over Substance. Should it be shorter or longer? What does the Fox say? We answer these questions and more on this episode.

It's Lambpardy time again! Three new challengers are here to compete for the penultimate place in the second round of the 2021 Lambpardy Tournament. Will David, Justin or Rob be victorious at defeating the others in a bout of movie trivia? Listen to find out! This month the contestants are: Rob, MovieRob and The Great Escape Minute podcast Justin Gott, The Rambling Ramblers Movie Podcast David Bro...

A trip to the beach turns into an opportunity to talk/mock the new M. Night Shyamalan film "Old". Bring your sunblock and towel, let's all layout on the sand and think about what it means to be old. Howard, Lisa, The Vern and Richard have plenty of thoughts to share, and a picnic basket as well.

Movie of the Month, and it seems appropriate that this is a monthly feature given our film. Ginger Snaps is a horror film that ties two curses into one. Four Lambs are led to the Slaughter by The Vern, the champion of this film. We have a vigorous discussion and a lot of fun, we'd like to bite you and make you join us.

The MCU is back with a movie delayed for 15 months. The Lambcast is back with a group of podcasters who have waited 15 months. Will it be synchronist bliss or double disappointment?  You will have to join us for a relatively quick look at the latest film from Marvel, oh, and by the way, IT'S IN THEATERS!

The big holiday blockbuster for this summer July 4 is not in theaters but on Amazon Prime. The tomorrow War features Chris Pratt in an alien invasion movie that follows in the steps of a lot of other films, but hopes to be original anyway. The future war has depleted the pool of Lambs to draw from, but Richard managed to get two other fighters of the right ages to teleport into this weeks podcast....

Tom Cruise is our actor of the month in the LAMB's Acting School 101 feature. Alongside the monthly blogathon held on the LAMB site, there will also be a monthly podcast episode devoted to the actor and their roles, and wouldn’t you know it but that’s this very show. Rob was joined by Justin of The Rambling Ramblers to discuss all things Tom Cruise, but mainly the five performances of his that the...

Sometimes a Lambpardy show just isn't fun enough. Sometimes it also needs to be a long-awaited episode of another podcast, and sometimes the participants of said podcast need to be completely unaware of this before they start recording the show. What am I talking about? This month's Lambpardy is only a surprise French Toast Sunday reunion! That's right, 16 months since they recorded their last pod...

In keeping with the subject, we have a Fast show for you this week. It's also a bit over the top as our guests sometimes are furious but mostly delighted by the nonsense that this franchise has become. The odds that you will like the show are astronomical.

The Lambs who showed up do the best they can to represent. Lin-Manuel Miranda's first Broadway Musical is now a film and it's full of singing, dancing, culture and controversy (or, someone found something to make it so). If you want to add to the diversity of the Lambcast, come give us a listen.
