The Ladies Who Lunch

This week I was joined by the wonderful Miranda Cromwell. We had a lovely chat about her directing process, working with Marianne Elliot, Twisted Theatre, and of course her astounding production of Death of a Salesman.

This week I was joined by the lovely Dede Ayite. We chatted about what drew her into the world of costuming, how she approaches designing, and how she views the world of designing costumes.

Bzzz. Bzzz. Colleen Fitzpatrick hive it is time to rise! This week I was joined by the fabulous Colleen Fitzpatrick and I had such a blast! We chatted about being a queen bee, her early beginnings, working with THE Meryl Streep, Passion, and of course Kimberly Akimbo.

This week I was joined by the lovely Sydney Parra. While we went off on various tangents we did talk about our time at Ithaca College, Hadestown, the Cleopatra Experience, and of course Six!

Today I had the honor of being joined by the lovely Ann Hould-Ward. I chatted with this Tony Award winning costume designer with her incredible work on Into the Woods, Sunday in the Park with George, and of course Beauty and the Beast.

This week I was joined by the lovely Anne Brummel. We chatted about her time as the green girl in Wicked, playing Eva Perón in Evita, getting to tour with My Fair Lady, and The Broadway Merchant Collective. I had the pleasure of sitting down with Tony Award Nominee L Morgan Lee and getting a first hand experience of her incredible wisdom. We talked about how she is often viewed as a trans performer and not just as a performer, her journey in A Strange Loop, and her passion for developing new work.

This week I was joined by the jaw line queen, Amy Ross. We chatted about working for Nickeldon, her time in Legally Blonde, the massiveness of the Jesus Christ Superstar arena tour, and of course her time as the green girl in Wicked. Note: I think I was sitting too close to my mic at times so that's why I'm a little loud/garbled.

This week I was joined by stage manager extraordinaire Cherie B. Tay. We talked about working on hit shows such as Hadestown and A Strange Loop, dealing with diva behavior, and her budding voice over career.

This week I chatted with the lovely Joan Almedilla. We talked about her early life in the Philippines, coming to the US, working on Miss Saigon, her resting bitch face in The King and I, and the Mama Bares.

This week I was joined by a childhood idol of mine, the incredible Susie McKenna. We talked about Cats, working with the incredible Gillian Lynne, her phenomenal wife Sharon D. Clarke, and working as a pantomime artist. Also, apologies, I was having a bit of connectivity issues during this episode which is why I'm a bit garbled.

This week I was joined by the wonderful Jacquelyn Bell! We talked about her theatre begininngs down in Florida, her company Bell Arts Entertainment, how she approaches producing, and dealing with stereotypes in the work place.

Today I was joined by the lovely XiaoXiao Cao. We talked about training to be a ballerina from her early childhood, the differences between working in the US and China, her audition process for Phantom, and her dance wear clothing line. Go and check out her designs, they're incredible!

For the first episode of the new year, I decided to throw it back to the first podcast episode I ever released! This week I was joined by the incredible Dan'yelle Williamson-Brown. Finally, we talked about The Cher Show and portraying an icon without making it a caricature.

This week I had the pleasure of being joined by Kimberly Marable. We talked about being a black Tracy Turnblad and her time in The Lion King and Sister Act and how both brought challenges and rewards. We also chatted about her tenure in Hadestown and not trying to live up to expectations.

This week I was joined by the lovely Diana Huey. We talked about working on the reimagined production of The Little Mermaid, being an understudy for the Disney Princess concert, and portraying typically non-Asian roles.

This week I was joined by the amazing Q Lim. We talked about the differences about training in Korea vs America, working on a Disney Cruise, and of course the Lincoln Center revival of The King and I.
