THE JIFE MUSIC SHOW

Beezie, a Christian Hop Hop artist in Chicago shares his experience protesting in the streets for social and racial justice. He also speaks about what it is like suffering police brutality and how Christ saved him from a life of crime. Plus, we have new music from Lecrae and a fantastic reggae gospel mix. 

In light of the recent protests in the US and across the world for racial equality, we decided to dedicate the entire show to the fight for social and racial justice. We hear from Hip Hop artists Lecrae, Sho Baraka and Bizzle and Reggae Gospel artists Prodigal Son from Jamaica with songs that hit hard against injustice.

We review the world of contemporary Gospel music in the Caribbean and internationally with radio host Janeel Boon of Dominion Radio in St. Kitts and Nevis. Plus we feature new music on the newly released Antidote Riddim featuring artists like David Matas, Shawn English, Mervin Budram and others. 

In this episode we present highlights of The REAL Virtual Party held in St. Kitts featuring D Furnace, Flavia Beswick, John Mark Wiggan, Brent D. Hoyte, The God Movement, Mr. Handsome and M1.

COVID-19 may affect the way we celebrate Easter and commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, but it cannot stop us from praising and worshiping the true and living God. This episode is a music edition that provides music of praise and worship in Hip Hop, Reggae and Soca styles and an encouraging word in Soulfood.

At a time when people are losing hope in the midst of the COVID-19 Pandemic, we at JIFE Music have decided to do a special broadcast of the show this week. On this edition, we hear from artists, producers and media personalities offering words of hope and encouragement. We also feature music from Sarid DVN, DJ Nicholas and more.   

The 2020 edition of the Antigua and Barbuda Gospel Music Awards is coming up. We talked to Stanshaw Cornelius, visionary of the event about the plans for this year's event. Plus, we talk Corona Virus in Soulfood and great music from DJ Nicholas, Soné and more.  

We first interviewed him in 2018. Two years later, Mervin Budram's life has been totally transformed as God has him on a new path with his ministry. He shares that vision, talks about his new single and how his daughter's ailment has given him renewed focus. Also on this show, we take the praises higher with a slew of Soca Gospel hits from artists from Trinidad and Tobago and Barbados. 

The artist previously known as Young Phenom, is now branded Phenom The First. The Antiguan Hip Hop artist talks about the new thrust of his life and music including his latest single In The Scope. We also feature a brand new Afro Beat Soca Riddim with African artists and a new Dancehall track from Di Anointed Vale.

The Jesus Party Boat Ride is a big thing in the British Virgin Islands. The organisers, The God Movement, were guests no this week's show as they visited St. Kitts to promote the event. It's also new music week, as we feature strictly new tracks from some of the Caribbean's finest gospel artists. 

Minister Taf from the UK is our featured artiste this week. He speaks about his origins, how he moved from Jamaica to the UK and the state of Reggae Gospel in Europe. Also on this edition, we go way back with some great hits including from Chevelle Franklyn and Prodigal Son.

Plus, in Soulfood, we talk about the rare act of forgiveness displayed by the brother of murdered St. Lucian Botham Jean. We also have great music from some fantatic artists.
