The Inner Room- Emotions in the Bible
This podcast looks at the relationship of our spiritual and psychological worlds. They are deeply intertwined in the inner room of our heart. Jesus welcomed His emotions: He cried when His friend died, He was angry at the hypocrisy of people, frustrated at His disciples' slow learning, exhausted after a long day of work. The Bible offers a divine perspective for the development of the human heart in which God's laws are written. Finding lessons in the Bible to help us pray better and listen to God's will for our lives, we seek to fuel our love for God with the fire of our emotions.

One was from Mount Sinai, bearing children for slavery; this is...

Who do people say that you are? GAL 3:22-29 Brothers and sisters: Scripture confined all things under the power of sin, that through faith in Jesus Christ the promise might be given to those who believe. Stories from a concentration camp encourage us to persevere GAL 3:1-5 O stupid Galatians! Who has bewitched you, before whose eyes Jesus Christ was publicly portrayed as crucified? I want to learn only this from you: did you receive the Spirit from works of the law, or from faith in what you heard? Are you so stupid? After beginning with the Spirit, are you now ending with the flesh? Did you exper...
Loving our enemies is hard 07.10.2020 12:28
Memorial of Our Lady of the Rosary Lectionary: 463 Reading 1 GAL 2:1-2, 7-14 Brothers and sisters: After fourteen years I again went up to Jerusalem with Barnabas, taking Titus along also. I went up in accord with a revelation, and I presented to them the Gospel that I preach to the Gentiles– but privately to those of repute– so that I might not be running, or have run, in vain. On the contrary, w...
God can use even our worst mistakes to build His Kingdom if we humble ourselves 06.10.2020 17:52

But when he, who from my mother’s...
How to extend God’s mercy to others 05.10.2020 14:51
GAL 1:6-12 Brothers and sisters: I am amazed that you are so quickly forsaking the one who called you by the grace of Christ for a different gospel (not that there is another). But there are some who are disturbing you and wish to pervert the Gospel of Christ. But even if we or an angel from heaven should preach to you a gospel other than the one that we preached to you, let that one be accursed!...
How do you nourish and protect the vineyard that is your soul, your family, your work? 04.10.2020 16:42
IS 5:1-7 Let me now sing of my friend, my friend's song concerning his vineyard. My friend had a vineyard on a fertile hillside; he spaded it, cleared it of stones, and planted the choicest vines; within it he built a watchtower, and hewed out a wine press. Then he looked for the crop of grapes, but what it yielded was wild grapes. Now, inhabitants of Jerusalem and people of Judah, judge between m...

Is it God’s way or your way? EZ 18:25-28 Thus says the LORD: You say, "The LORD's way is not fair!" Hear now, house of Israel: Is it my way that is unfair, or rather, are not your ways unfair? When someone virtuous turns away from virtue to commit iniquity, and dies, it is because of the iniquity he committed that he must die. But if he turns from the wickedness he has committed, he does what is r...

A time to be silent, a time to speak. Who do you say that I am? ECCL 3:1-11 There is an appointed time for everything, and a time for every thing under the heavens. A time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to uproot the plant. A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to tear down, and a time to build. A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to da...

God is our shield and refuge. PRV 30:5-9 Every word of God is tested; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him. Add nothing to his words, lest he reprove you, and you will be exposed as a deceiver.
