God ordains from Genesis enmity between the serpent and a woman that will strike the head of the serpent. That is Mary. Today we celebrate that she was conceived without sin as the Holy of holies, as the most holy tabernacle. Jesus dwelt amongst us first in her womb.

In these 3 readings, Isaiah 30: 19-26, Psalm 147 and Mat 9:35, we hear the mercy of God wanting to heal the wounds of His people

Isaiah waited eagerly for the coming of the Lord. He says “A nation of firm purpose you keep in peace; in peace, for its trust in you.” We build our life on the rock of God’s Word

Jesus feeds a hungry crowd multiplying loaves and fish. He wants to multiply love in our life. He is our nourishment and renewal. Let us pray Psalm 23 and come to rest in the Lord. Let us be grateful with Isaiah who waited for the lord 700 years before his arrival.

The advent season starts today with the theme of watchfulness. Let us watch our hearts and turn them to God asking for his grace to soft our edges and open asked to deeper love.

The last readings of this liturgical year present again the vision of the heavenly realm, the reward of those who choose life and the punishment of those who do not. Jesus asks that we be vigilant, opening our hearts to God with thanksgiving.

Revelation 15 and so 98 speak about how great and wonderful are God’s works. God is mighty, Lord of all. In Luke 21 Jesus speaks to the crowd about hardship coming their way in the form of persecution, and instruct them to not prepare their defense, that he himself shall give wisdom in speaking that others would be powerless to refute.

God will ask for an account of our life and will say come good and faithful servants or not. There is sex trafficking in the world, famine, elderly or infirm that are abandoned. We are asked to contribute to the balance of justice with our actions. There are only 2 ways: the way of life and the way of death. We are asked to be agents of Justice.  RV 14:14-19 Psalm 96:10, 11-12, 13 LK 21:5-11

Jesus looks up, He sees us, He sees the widow placing a small coin in the Temple collection. She is detached. She gives her whole livelihood.  Psalm 24 reminds us that these are the people that long to see God's face. How do we give? In the Book of Revelation 14, 144,000 sing to the Father with unblemished lips. They have longed to see God's face, they have ascended the mountain of God.

In Rev 5, 1-10 John weeds not finding someone who can open the scroll with the seven seals, but the lion of Judah who is a slain Lamb can do it. Psalm 149 Reminds us that we are given a priestly roll by the lamb to serve God to love God to offer prayers and sacrifices. And in Luke 19, Jesus is crying as he approaches Jerusalem because the City recognized the time of his visitation

In Rev 4: 1-11, We see beautiful throne surrounded by four creatures that sing holy holy holy Lord God Almighty and 24 other thrones and elders. These same song is being sung in Psalm 150. Jesus remind says in Luke 19 to use our time in our talent and our treasure well because we will have to give an account
