Based on my book On the Origins of YHWH: The Gods | The Wars | The Messiahs:On the Origins of YHWH: The Gods | The Wars | The Messiahs is a historical investigation into the evolution of one of history's most influential religious traditions. Drawing on archaeology, ancient inscriptions, biblical criticism, and the work of leading scholars, the book traces the development of Yahweh from his earliest appearances among the peoples of the ancient Near East through the rise of Israel, the Babylonian Exile, the Second Temple period, and ultimately to the emergence of Jesus and early Christianity.
