We’re going all Hornets this week, with the Charlotte 49ers on a 16-day football break. Our friend Jerry Donatien joined the show, and we talked LaMelo Ball, Charlotte’s best possible starting five when healthy, Brandon Miller, Tidjane Salaün, trades around the league and more.

Charlotte sure did look good on ESPN - until the game started. The gang recaps a brutal loss against Tulane, a timely bye week and a crucial stretch that determines Charlotte’s bowl eligibility. We talked quarterbacks, penalties, time of possession and much more. And college hoops is back!

Charlotte lost a heartbreaker on Saturday against Memphis, and have a huge opportunity on Thursday night against Tulane to rebound. It’s clear that DeShawn Purdie is the guy, but if Biff Poggi will make that move is yet to be seen.
