VAR was introduced 4.5 years ago to add transparency and accuracy to refereeing decisions. The technology's use in the English Premier League has only made complex decisions more confusing. Kyle D'Antoni from Inside the Ninety joins Brian to discuss the state of VAR and its current impact on the game.

This week's UCL action was full of highlight goals and great matches. Manchester United had 2 unlikely heroes in a much-needed win.

The October international break has come and gone and there was plenty to discuss. FIFA announced an overly complicated hosting setup for the 2030 World Cup. Manchester United has a new investor who will get control of footballing operations and a good amount of teams have booked their ticket to Euro 2024 in Germany.

VAR takes center stage again as a lapse of communication cost a then 10-man Liverpool an opening goal against Spurs. Manchester City fell to Wolves and Mykhailo Mudryk FINALLY scored as Chelsea won 2-0. The UCL was full of shockers as PSG, Manchester United, and Arsenal lost to Newcastle, Galatasaray, and Lens. No Chad this week but there's still plenty to discuss.

Leicester City's return to the top of the Championship table has Chad jumping for joy. Manchester United got back on track with a win against Burnley, Rodri channeled his inner Darth Vader with his choking of Morgan Gibbs-White, Everton finally got their first win, Newcastle put EIGHT by Sheffield, and the North London derby was an absolute firecracker.

Chad was unavailable this week so we reverted back to pre-March with just Brian and Karl. We discuss this week's biggest results and give Richarlison a much-needed apology. After a poor display in their week 1 draw, Chelsea fell 3-1 to a 10-man West Ham last weekend. The Blues could be in for a rough season despite all their signings. Everton are horrible, just horrible and Brighton look to be serious European place contenders. We have a very exciting season ahead of us!

Haaland picked up right where he left off with a goal in the 3rd minute as City cruised to victory. Newcastle sit top after their 5-1 smashing of Villa in week 1.
