Everyone looks up but the view is different.  The view is dependent upon if you're literally or figuratively looking up.

Every one has a calling, to be used to make a positive difference in the lives of others.  Not all automatically know what it is.  But in time, it's revealed.  

Reflecting on what prayer is and when to pray.

We all leave a mark on those we encounter and how our works impact those we don't encounter.  We should strive to leave a positive impact in the environment and this can be done in many different ways.

As the year ends, many will reflect upon what the year held.  In a couple days a new year will begin, with endless possibilities. 

Giving and receiving the gift of Jesus Christ while Christmas celebrations abound.

Giving back is all about making a difference in the lives of others.  Whether it's giving of money, material items or simply time.  It's simply putting forth the effort to make a difference in lives of others.

When those moments of reflecting over one's life reveal how much there is to be thankful for.  Being mindful to know that thanks is for God alone.

Everyone believes in something and/or someone.  

Many willingly share all that they're thankful on Thanksgiving.  Giving thanks should be every day of the year, not just one day of the year.

Looking in the mirror can reveal more than just a physical reflection, it can also reveal what's underneath, characteristics and behaviors.

How the family name is perceived by others speaks volumes about the person's character.  

Life can be such that an eviction has to occur.  Those behaviors and even individuals that are not uplifting but are destructive and need to be released and/or let go.

What is said and who says it matters.  Words can lift someone up or tear them down.

Sunday dinner was about more than just a meal being eaten.  The family foundation building, wisdom and knowledge was shared, laughter was plentiful, and hospitality was shown.

There's a close-knit bond that can exist between sisters, though sisters are not always blood related.

Generational curses exist.  They can be broken.  It only takes one in the family to recognize its existence and be willing to take the necessary steps to break it.

Every seed that is planted has an expectation of maturing into a harvest.  Not all seeds planted are for edible nourishment for the body.  There are seeds of emotions, behaviors, or tangible material goods.  In time, whether good or bad, a planted seed will reap a harvest.

The year I realized how a vegetable garden can be correlated to what God's Word does in the life of a believer

With so much negativity, trouble and turmoil going on in the world and even within the home, it's easy to ask the question "does God care"?  There are times when it may seem as if He doesn't, because nothing is changing, but that's so far from the truth.  God does care, He always has and He always will.  We have to trust and believe that He does.

The family reunion brings the family together.  It bridges the gap between the babies and seniors.  The family heritage/legacy/traditions can be shared.  But most importantly it gives everyone an opportunity to meet family.

The best company a person can have is their self.  Being able to enjoy activities in life without having to have others with you.

Everyone has their own view of what it means to relax and rest.  Whether it's doing something you love or doing nothing at all.  What matters is giving the body a chance to recharge.

So many of the simple things in life can lead to such satisfaction.  How ironic that most don't cost anything other than time and paying attention.

There's a feeling of self satisfaction when a task is undertaken and ultimately successful
